Iris thinks pretty much everyone is immature, but she's more respectful of Cilan than anyone else. His safety is important to her, but so is her own - Cilan is the one that Iris goes to and hides behind when she's scared (usually of something that has to do with ice). Cilan is the only person Iris has shown any affection towards. At the Virbank Gym she pulls him close and paints his face as a fun way to support Ash in his battle against Roxie. Ash brings up the face paint afterwards, which causes both of them to blush. Iris and Cilan's kind words towards each other mean a lot to both of them and they stand together in the face of (potential) danger. As a bonus, they're shown holding hands in a promo for Pokémon Musicals.

My thoughts - I think this pairing is pretty cute. I haven't seen a ton of Best Wishes episodes but Cilan puts up with Iris better than anyone else ;D Jokes aside, I don't really see them being with anyone else, other than Iris with Georgia.
