"Ethan shut up" I push the the snoring boy that is wrapped around me for what seems like the millionth time. He just groans flipping over, his back now facing me as the booming snoring continues. It's like the vibrations are bouncing off the walls and drilling into my brain. Seeing that the time is way past the point I want to be awake, I dramatically tug the pillow from underneath him to settle for the couch tonight.
Staggering into the bathroom to brush my teeth, I'm a little startled to see Grayson at the sink doing the same. He's standing there in all his shirtless glory. In only a pair of adidas joggers hanging low on his hips, his Calvin Kleins peeking out of the hem. I clear my throat after realizing I've probably stared too long. He looks to the toothbrush clutched in my palm before motioning to the sink next to him with a tooth paste filled grin.
He finishes before me, placing his toothbrush back in its spot next to Ethan's. I can feel him lingering and sneaking glances in my direction. Once I'm done, I pick up the pillow I took from Ethan's room and give him a coy smile. He looks at it, furrowing his eyebrows. "Ethan is snoring really loud" he chuckles at my response, his lips parting like he's going to say something, but then he doesn't. Not being able to take the awkwardness any longer, I hesitantly walk past him to the living room "goodnight Gray"
"Y/n wait" he finally speaks. My lips curling into a smile at the sound of his tired voice. I feel his hand delicately land onto my shoulder, turning around to face him I can tell he's a little nervous. "You can sleep with me.. so you know, you don't have to sleep on the couch" my eyes widen indicating my confusion. I just wasn't expecting the offer. "Only if you want" he adds after I don't give an answer. I look at the couch and then to the boy standing only inches away. His face softens, a smirk appearing onto his lips. His plump pink lips. "Come on, it's not a big deal" he laughs, taking the pillow from me and tossing it to the couch. "Okay" I say as I follow him back down the hall to his bedroom. I sleep with Ethan all the time, it can't be that different right?

Being in Grayson's bed is a weird and unfamiliar feeling. There's I don't know.. tension. We are both lying on our backs with our eyes on the ceiling. The silence has been dragging along, but neither of us have attempted to go to sleep. I open my mouth to speak, but he cuts me off before I do, "so you and Ethan" he deadpans. Not like he's asking a question, but like he's stating a fact. His tone was just so bleak. I take a second to respond, a little thrown back and confused "what about us?" I ask hesitantly. He sighs, turning onto his side to face me, eyebrows raised "it's cute."
I mimic his position, a smug look creeping onto my face. "You seem a little jealous if you ask me" I don't know where my confidence came from, but by the smirk on his lips and the nod of his head, I seem to have been correct. Silence fills the room once more, but this time it's different. His eyes are searching my face, but I don't feel like I need to tear my gaze from him. "And if I was jealous?" His voice is just below a whisper. I swallow the huge lump in my throat, suddenly becoming that shy girl once again. "Then I would say that Ethan is my best friend" pulling my hand closer to my face, I attempt to hide the blush on my cheeks. "Good" is all he says. Rolling over onto his back, he closes his eyes "then I'm not." I can see him biting back a shit eating grin from the moonlight glowing into the room. I return back to my previous position as well, letting my eyes finally shut. "Good."

I'm pulled from my sleep by my trembling body and chattering teeth. It feels like Grayson's room has dropped a solid 20 degrees. I bring my knees to my chest in my best attempt to keep warm, but the shivering still continues. "Are you cold?" A low and raspy voice asks from behind me. I must have woken him. "A little, but I'm okay" my teeth clicking together as I speak. The bed creaks as Grayson moves closer to me. His movements are slow and skeptical. His right arm snakes around my body, pulling me into him, back to chest. His hand travels down to my thigh, resting there and giving a small subtle squeeze. Goosebumps rise onto every inch of my skin at the feeling of his hot breath hitting the back of my neck, but my whole body is suddenly warmer and relaxed.
I push myself back more to fit into him better. I feel him smile onto my skin, giving my thigh a more pronounced grasp. His hand wraps around it so easily and his grip is so strong. It's like he is holding me in place, letting my know not to move now that I'm here. "My t-shirt looks good on you by the way" he whispers into the shell of ear, intertwining his legs with mine. Realizing Ethan left Grayson's shirt at my house not his, I smile to myself. "Goodnight Gray."
