Finally after an hour of pretending I didn't feel Ethan's eyes burning into me, class has finally ended. Pushing my way through the sea of people, I make my way down the crowded hallways. "Hey y/n, wait up!" a familiar voice shouts from behind me. Bumping into a few people, he catches up to me with that same blinding grin plastered across his face.
"So I was hoping you could show me where my next class is? I'm actually new this year and have no idea where I'm going" he asks, but for some reason his expression changes as if he's almost embarrassed. I'm not sure why he's asking me considering we didn't have exactly the best first impression, but his hopeful eyes and shy smile are undeniable. "Yeah sure, what's your next class?" I say, his eyes instantly widening while he digs for his schedule in the pocket of his jeans. "Uh English 4.0 with Mr. sanders?" He says almost as if he's asking a question. I give him a friendly smile "me too you can just walk with me." "Well if that's not fate then I don't know what is" sending a wink and a quick nudge to my shoulder, I roll my eyes trying to bite back the grin on my lips. Ethan Dolan. Who is this boy?
------Ethan and I of course sat next to each other, me being the only one he knew. I honestly hadn't laughed that much in a very long time, if not ever. We had an instant connection that felt so familiar. It was like I've always known him, like we've been friends our whole lives. I felt bad for being so cold to someone with such a kind heart. How could I think he would be so much trouble?
We decide to sit together at lunch because we both have it next period. "I'm beginning to think you purposely synced our schedules" he jokes, taking a seat next to me. I giggle realizing the ache in my cheeks from doing so. I've been doing a lot of that today. "You're laugh is cute" He says while taking a mouth full of his sandwich. He had such a beaming confidence, one that I honestly envy. My face instantly going a rosy pink at the simplest of compliments, I stand so he can't see. "I'm going to go wash my hands, I'll be back" he just nods taking another bite and I quickly make my way across the cafeteria in hope of pulling myself together.
As I make my way back to the table I see someone else sitting with Ethan. Someone he clearly knew very well. Moving closer I get a better look and swear I gasp aloud, realizing the other boy has the same breathtaking smile. In fact, has a lot of similar features to the boy that's sent my mind spiraling for hours.
"Hey" I say, breaking the two from the conversation they were having. Ethan instantly perks up, his eyes brightening "Y/n i want you to meet my twin brother, Grayson." Overpowering me with his height, he stands to give me a friendly hug. I could tell he was a bit taller and more built than Ethan, but nothing too noticeable. "So this is her?" He quirks an eyebrow in his brother's direction. "It's nice to meet you Grayson" I push a hair behind my ear before taking my seat next to Ethan. "Thanks for helping E find his way today, I wish I had a cute showing me around" he knits his eyebrow as if scolding himself for saying it out loud. "Smooth" Ethan chuckles at his brother's embarrassment. "It was no problem at all, he's great company" I bump Ethan's shoulder and reach for my lunch box.
