Alex

Soon after Justin left, I was determined not to let this effect my mood. It's still my birthday and I'm still a happy bee. I went back into the living room with 2 bowls of popcorn and a smile.

"Sweet pea, why'd Justin leave, the party has just begun."

"Talk about it later mom." I said with an assuring smile plopping onto the couch in between Ethan and Max.

"Honestly guys, I just really wanna watch Disney musicals."

"Camp rock?"

"Teen beach movie?"

"Cheetah Girls?"

"High school musical?"

Ethan, Emma, Max, and Zoey all called out.

"High school musical first, then camp rock, then teen beach movie- then cheetah girls!"

Ethan and Max groaned at the last part but I just laughed, its my birthday.

"We're gonna let you kids enjoy the movies, have fun." My mom announced beginning to walk upstairs with my dad.

"Bye!" I called out.

I rested my head on Ethan's shoulder, and Max rested his on Emma's, which made her roll her eyes at his goofiness. Zoey spread out across the floor, right in front of the tv. We started High School Musical all snuggled up in blankets and pillows with snacks on our laps. I was really enjoying myself. These people are amazing and have definitely contributed loads to my birthday.

After we watched all 4 movies, it was really late, and time to call it a night.

I hugged everybody goodbye and thanked them for an amazing birthday. I can honestly say it was the best one yet. They all walked out but Emma stopped and raised her eyebrow, "Care to explain about Justin?"

"I would love to! As soon as it's not my birthday." I laughed.

She smiled, "Happy Birthday bubba." And with that she left. I closed the door and smiled. It was almost 11. I cleaned up the snacks and anything that was on the floor. While I was cleaning the kitchen I came across Justin's scrapbook and sighed. Nope, still not ready. I took it with my upstairs and put it on my night stand. It'll be there waiting for me. I took a shower, and got into bed.

"Happy birthday." My mom sang through the door.

"Only one hour till it's not."

"Was it a good one?" My dad asked.

"The best."

"Goodnight, we love you." They said exiting. I smiled shutting my bedside lamp off laying in the darkness.

Happy happy birthday to me. 18 never felt so good.

I woke up and today was Friday which was good so the weekend was near. I got dressed and ready, sadly it felt like a normal day. Nothing sucks more than the day after your birthday. I walked downstairs and there was no waffle bouquet, yeah I'm depressed.

"Hey hun, how'd you sleep?" My mom asked.

"Good." I said with a smile.

"Hey you still never told me why Justin left? I was planning for him to stay until Sunday but he canceled the reservations and I got an email that he cashed in for an earlier flight."

"Oh yeah, about that-"

I was cut off yay a honk and gave my mom a sorry smile, "Sorry! I'll explain later."
