Alex

I got home and plopped onto bed. This day was super long and I was super tired. I was planning on going to bed early. I went to my dresser taking off my necklace when Justin's scrapbook caught my eye. I was dying to read it. I picked it up and took it over to my bed just looking at it for a second. I can't put this off forever, it has to be opened sometime. I flipped the page, and once I'd started I couldn't stop.

I closed the book shut after I finished it and honestly I was just speechless. Everything in there was just what I thought it'd be, heartfelt and sweet, but it didn't do what I thought it would do. I wasn't deeply in love with him, I was just so grateful to have him. I picked up my phone dialing his number.

"Hello?" He said with a sound of shock.

"Hi." I said a little nervously.

"This is.. a surprise."

"I'm sorry for over exaggerating about the whole no I can't read it I'll fall in love with you crap. That was stupid."

"It wasn't, I understand." He said sincerely.

"I read the scrapbook." I said, "And I loved it."

"I'm glad. I hoped you would."

"So how are you?" I asked.

"Good, better now that I'm talking to you actually. Everything's going smoothly, and the end of the semester is approaching so I'm definitely happy about that."

"Yeah me too. This year went by kind of fast."

"Yeah it did. Crazy huh?"

"Yeah this school years just been a crazy bunch. Inside and outside of it."

He laughed, "You can say that again."

"Are there any end of year parties you're going to?"

"Maybe one, I'm not really a party person."

"Wow that's a shocker. You're in college Justin live a little!" I joked.

"Yeah whatever and what about you? You've got prom coming soon don't you."

"Yep." I said smiling, "It's a pretty big deal."

"Anyone particular you want to ask you?"

"Nah. I'm just waiting to be asked. I really wanna be but I don't really know anyone and I doubt anyone has a secret crush on me." I said honestly, "I'll probably go alone which is fine but I kind of just wanted the full prom experience. You know, the big scene in the hallway where you get asked in this super creative way and then you say yes and everyone around you cheers, wether they know you or not. Then the walk down the stairs and your date complimenting you, and then the prom pictures which you post to make literally every freshman jealous." I sighed heavily, "But if that doesn't happen I'll still be living right?"

"I hope that does happen. Sounds like it'd make your year great."

I laughed, "Great? How about fantastic? How was your prom?"

"I actually didn't go to prom."

"You didn't go to prom?" I exclaimed, "What, why?"

"I wasn't really into the whole school dance thing, I thought it was lame."

"Your lame." I teased.

"Hey, we all have different views on prom!" He laughed.

"Yeah I guess."

Me and Justin talked the day away, and I was glad we were okay. I missed him, and just talking to him can make me happy. Why do we keep falling off? I found out him and Sienna's status: still together. Thankfully, it didn't bother me as much as it used to. He's happy, and he's still in my life, what more could I ask for?

The next day at school, the day was going pretty good. At lunch, it was normal, except there was a promposal. YAY! I saw Sean stand up and I was curious to see who he was going to ask. My eyes were glued to him as I saw him walk to a table seating with Alexandria, Zoey, and a few other populars. I saw him whip out a poster, which was beautifully crafted, and BOOM, there went the promposal- to Zoey! Zoey stood up shocked walking closer to him, "Oh my god."

"I'm praying that's a yes." He said.

"Yes." Zoey said with a small laugh. They hugged and I smiled.

"And there's goes the start of the prom-posing days ahead of us."

"I can't wait." I said gladly, "It's gonna be awesome."

"Still hoping for that special someone to ask you?" Emma said.

"Yeah. I still have hope!"

"Hey, would I be weird if I asked Alexandria?- the other one." Ethan blurted.

I turned to him in confusion, "But you were miserable with her, everyone could see that."

Emma and Max nodded.

"I mean yeah, but it's not like we're getting back together, it's prom. Alexandria's actually pretty cool, just not as my girlfriend."

"So, you're gonna ask her?"

"Thinking about it." He said staring across the cafeteria over to her. I stared at Max and Emma then let out a sigh.

Max and I got to our next class, which we had with Alexandria. She walked in looking so carefree and just- like little miss perfect.

"Everyone loves her." I said staring at her, "Literally, she has so many friends, and could have any guy in this school she wanted. Everyone sees her as some kind of role model. Pretty, smart, nice- but I just never saw her that way. Probably because she made my freshman year absolute hell." I finished turning around in my seat, sort of bummed out.

"She did you wrong, you shouldn't see her as anyone else, she didn't do what she did to you to anyone else."

"But why did she do that to me? There's nothing like.. wrong with me, right?"

"Absolutely not." Max said assuringly, "I don't know why she picked you out of everyone, but it was wrong, and she sucks for that."

"Thanks Max." I said resting my head on his shoulder.
