Chapter 24

Sung Jiyeon's POV

H-How is that possible? How did he find me? How come he shows up in this nick of time?

Jimin and I kept turning heads to find a hiding spot until I pulled his shirt down to hide behind the fence.

"Hmm?" wondered Jimin. Whose face is emotionless.

"It can't be.." I muttered under my breath while looking at the silhouetted man. It was dark, only the lamp posts are lighting up the deserted street.

"Jiyeon-ah! I know you're there!" yelled the man who was forcing his way on the gates that are locked.

I felt Jimin's hand touched mine until he interlocked it with his fingers. I held his hand tightly that my nails were digging in his hand.

"Jiyeon! I'm here! It's me!" yelled the man once again, shaking the gate.

Jimin hid me behind his back, still holding each others hand, I can hear Jimin's heavy breathing.

"Who's that?" whispered Jimin while the man continues to yell my name. First, I hesitated for a moment but I should tell Jimin about this.

"I-It's the man I used to like.." I whispered. It's literally pitch dark now because the hand of the clock turned to 10 pm which is the time that the lamp posts faded. The only light that was coming is from the windows.

I hope they are all in bed. I said to my thoughts.

"We need to get inside the house, we'll never know what this man is up to." said Jimin darkly while keep casting glances at the man.

"I-I think I should talk to him" —Jimin gave me a 'what-the-hell look— "I can do this on my own, you should get inside the house." I said calmly.

"Jiyeon! what the —?"

He was too late to pull me down. I rose to my feet and walked slowly towards the man.

"J-Jun..?"

"Ah, finally Jiyeon, I knew you were there! What's with the hiding huh? You made me wait and yell here for a long time of period huh." He complained while throwing his hands in frustration.

"Oh mian, didn't know a git was yelling in there." I snapped and I heard Jimin stifled a laugh.

"Whatever, let me in!" said Jun.

"Why are you here? How did you find me?" I drowned him with questions using my never-used sassy voice. I rose a brow and crossed my arms.

"Ah well, I was wondering if you could go out with me." said Jun. I can only see his outline since it's dark.

"And?" I said slowly, waiting for him to respond to my second question.

"I asked your friend.."

I clapped a hand on my mouth, cutting his sentence.

"Wait.. what the hell?! She told you!?" I yelled thinking it was Jeongyeon who told him so.

"Well of course yes! Your beautiful friend - Minah, told me." stated Jun, dropping a stress on the word beautiful.

I felt relief.

"So.. let me in."

Without hesitating, I let him in.

I heard Jimin shifting in his spot.

"Well.. can you go out with me now?"

My mouth twisted into a grimace. I slapped his cheek very hard that he stepped backwards and hold the spot where I slapped it.

"First of all, I moved on: Second, you rejected me: Third, you never had feelings for me but feel disgusted: Fourth, you avoided me like I had a contagious disease and lastly, you are not good-looking anymore." I snapped and gave him a sarcastic smile.

I turned to my heels and left him behind but I froze to my spot where he roared with laughter.

"What's so funny?" I asked, my brows knitting to each other.

"You've changed Jiyeon, changed.." He paused for a moment. "But you're still stubborn that makes me want to punch you!" He cracks his knuckles quickly and rose his fist.

I gasped and covered myself, waiting for the punch but I felt nothing.

But I felt someone standing in front of me. I can see his outline.

"Don't ever hurt a girl especially JIYEON!"

I felt safe.. I always feel save whenever his around.

"Woah! And who are you!? A pathetic suicidal!? Ha! Jiyeon will never love someone like you!" snapped Jun.

"You know nothing about us." said Jimin coldly and I heard a great punch and Jun whimpering in pain.

"Aww friendship.. very touching.. you must be that guy who Jiyeon left.. Well if that's who it is.. I'm sorry but I think you already know what it means.. perhaps no?" Jun forced a smile.

Jimin ignored that statement, "Don't you ever come back!"

"You wish." said Jun, who was giving Jimin an annoying sneer, "You wish." He repeated slowly while disappearing in pitch dark.

I heard Jimin swore on the top of his lungs.
