"'Paradise' has a beautiful piano part." Sami says. "So I thought.." I look at her and smile while playing some chords on Kai's piano. We were at Kai's Studio. The door opened and Marisol came inside with her portable printer and laptop. She was carrying a lot of sheets.
"Ive gathered some sheet music for the guitar, piano and drums." Marisol says.
"We can try out some today." Kai says. Marisol hands out our specific sheet music for our parts. I look at the piano piece in front of me. "Paradise huh.." I mumble. I start playing what is on the piece of paper.
"Oh my god dude i can feel it." Jason says as I play. I laugh. We each practice our own parts by ourselves. Kai asked if we all wanted to try it together after two hours passed. We all stared at each other.
"I'm not good so sorry if i mess up." Sami says.
"Wait let me do that countdown usual bands do when they start a piece." Jason says. He raises his sticks and hits them together. "And a 1..2..3..4.."
I started playing and we were good till like ten seconds when it just became noise. I stopped playing and so did everyone else. We all look at each other. Jason cracks up. Kai chuckles. I down right laugh.
"What was that. EPIC FAIL." Jason says. Sami laughs.
"Oh god this is gonna take a while." Marisol plops on the couch outside the sound room.
We try again and again and again. We got better but not much. It became dark.
"I think we should like do two people together and then add another person and another person so then we can all sync perfectly but I guess we need some individual practice as well." Kai says.
"I have to go home." Sami says. We all agree.
"Tomorrow we will do better. We are improving. Its just the beginning." Kai calls out as we all leave. We knew that. Today was fun though. Paradise was a good song. The vocal and the piano have their own duo moments. I smile at Sami. We haven't gotten to the level of her to start singing. Our instrumental sucks.
