11: Help- Oh no
As Luke gave up, I scrambled out of my cover. I ran another two miles or something. I took twists and turns and didn't stop running until I felt close to collapsing. Then I ran into a man. Terror. But then it was gone. No Luke.
"Sir, please, do you have a phone. Help, he's help-" Oh no. Suddenly all the details I collected in my head pushed some buttons in my brain. I finally looked at his face. But I remembered his tan boots. His blue jeans. And his matching tan shirt. This was the faceless man. And he wasn't so faceless anymore. The green eyes. The black hair. But all of that was blurred by my tears. I could tell that he was smiling as he walked me back. I didn't resist because there was no point.
