Twenty-one weeks later...

Darcy felt the rhythm pulsating deep within her veins as she rounded the same ol' parking lot for the billionth and one time, searching for an empty spot. The music found deep within the heart of the stadium flooded out into the parking lot and rooted itself within Darcy's subconscious as she begun humming to the tune she couldn't quite place.

As Darcy racked her brain, trying to figure out where she had heard the familiar song before, she finally found an empty spot - after what seemed like forever.

When Darcy got out of her car and heard the resounding beep knowing that her ride was now safely locked, she turned around and that's when coincidentally she saw two familiar faces walking down the parking lot in her direction. - It was Sarah and Aidan.

Darcy beamed gleefully as she ran up to Sarah and gave her a long hug. She couldn't resist giving Aidan one as well, as he stood there shyly staring at the ground. Where he seemed childish and very much awkward the first time she met him, it seems like he's come full circle now for there wasn't an ounce of childishness left in Aidan. It was as if in the span of twenty-one weeks, Aidan had shed his former awkward self.

"You guys look great!" Darcy remarked excitedly as both Sarah and Aidan shared knowing glances at each other, smiling widely while they were at it.

Darcy looked from one face to the other expectantly and after a couple of silent, suspense-filled seconds, Darcy finally asked the burning question at the back of her head. "Is there something you're not telling me?" the words spilled out of her mouth, one after the other.

"You tell her, Aidan" Sarah grinned from ear to ear as she said this, but Aidan simply shook his head. "No you tell her" he said, his eyes never left her face, not for a second even. Clearly they were madly in love with each other but what exactly was it that they wished to let her know but obviously weren't doing a very good job at?

"TELL ME WHAT?!!!" Darcy asked and they both grew silent as their verbal fight came to an abrupt end. "Okay, okay. I'll tell Darcy then" Aidan finally gave in. He drew a long, suspense-filled breath of air as he squeezed Sarah's hand tight.

"We're married!" he said and all at once joy filled the atmosphere as Darcy gave them both a congratulatory hug, tears filling her eyes, threatening to spill down her face any moment now.

"When?!!" Darcy asked excitedly again. Sarah's grin never left her lips as she recounted the days prior to her wedding. "A couple of days after we left rehab, Aidan stood outside my house way past midnight, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him" Sarah said. Aidan nodded.

"At first I said I wasn't sure. And then the next night he came over again and I told him no. The third time's the charm I guess because I realized when I said no to him the second time, I was lying. I knew then and there that he was the one, and so I said yes. We got hitched and now I'm-" Sarah stopped her sentence mid-air, clearly for suspense.

Darcy pondered what it may be, for the longest second. Finally it struck her as bright as daylight. "I'm pregnant" Sarah finally whispered softly and then turned to share the moment with her husband.

Sarah motioned for Darcy to touch her belly and tears came pouring down Darcy's face almost instantly. She looked up at the expecting mother of this child and couldn't help but think how far they've all come when only a little over six months ago, they were lost and in need of fixing.

Sarah was in no way lost now. She'd found her soul mate and she's happy - very. And Aidan? Suddenly Darcy realized why he seemed a lot different - in a good way. He was about to embrace fatherhood in a matter of months now, why wouldn't he?
