Into The Dark Forest: Facing The Woman Of The Woods

You all walked about the forest in a small group. Having accepted the villages pleas to use guns wielding silver ammunition. Caxin gave you the guns through his requip, giving them a fiery kick to them in addition to their killing power. "So how do these work?" You looked the gun over top to bottom, curious about this new weapon. Caxin grabbed it and put it in your hands the right way, then pointed out the barrel and trigger. "Pull the trigger after you aim the barrel at a target." Then he turned and started walking again, the rest of you following suit. Looking it over you repeated his instructions in your head, drilling yourself. You practiced aiming for awhile until you all stopped, the edge of the Dark Forest before you. "Hear that?" Listening close you could all barely hear the village, which was almost a mile behind you. "Nothing's out here. Whatever lives here must have either killed them or run them off." Not known for your patience you stepped in first, "Come on." Walking off you led them into the Dark Forest undeterred by the silence. "Shit" Gray swung around to look behind him, aiming everywhere. "What's wrong?" You and Caxin looked back to see a muddy, woman's hand print on Gray's shoulder. "Maybe there is something to that Woman of the Woods that guy was talking about." Caxin knocked Gray on the shoulder as he pointed out the handprint, you muttering this to Juvia as Gray and Caxin wiped the mud off. "Perhaps. However if she wishes to harm Gray-sama or any of us, she won't​ stand a chance." Your anger flared a bit at Gray apparently getting top priority in her head.

She listened from a distance, her hand still muddy from marking one of the men. She didn't try to bother the girl, for that was her destiny, she could only be replaced by a man. She cackled evilly as they started to travel even further into the woods.

"What the hell was that?" Caxin and Gray swept their sightlines as you and Juvia did the same. "Sounded like a woman." You glanced at Caxin, replying. "No shit Sherlock. She's the 'Woman' of the damn woods for a reason." Sighing you turned back around to look ahead and jumped back, yelling in surprise. Sitting there you looked where the woman had been, "What the hell." You shot to your feet, everyone getting back to back. "What happened?" Caxin asked as you all looked around. "That woman decided to pop up right in front of my face that's what!" A mocking laugh to your left was all that was needed to push you over the edge. "That's it you bitch I'm gonna rip you to shreds." Charging into the darkness you barely heard Caxin yell out, "(F/N) don't!" Before you felt something strike the back of your head, leaving you numb as you fell to the floor, unconscious as you were grabbed by a feminine hand. "Finally, my successor is here."
