Down With The King: Apocrypha In Flames

Natsu slammed Acnologia into a wall again, as you watched helplessly on the ground. In pain you looked at your hand, your veins turning a sickly green from the poison coursing through you. You hadn't noticed but Hermaeus Mora had come closer, one of his tentacles picking you up so you could look at him. "What drives you mortal? To throw away your chance of immorality for a demon?" Coughing up blood you looked him dead in the eye. "I'm goddamn stubborn. I don't care if I live if everyone I care about is gonna die." Looking you over he replied, somewhat impatient. "But why? What drives a mortal like you to throw away life for the chance of companionship. What?!" Coughing up even more of your blood you choked out. "I have a heart. Something you Daedra don't." Growling Hermaeus looked you over one last time. "You fascinate me mortal. You may live, I will continue to watch you mortal." Dropping you back into another pool of poison, Hermaeus watched as you crawled out. Growling and panting you felt the poison purged from you. Standing you watched Natsu send Acnologia, now powerless without Mora's support, into the poison. His screams filled the land as his skin burnt away. Landing next to you Natsu looked you over. "Your back to normal!" He said, happily looking you in the eye. Nodding you pointed at Hermaeus. "He did it." Looking up he thanked the writhing mass of tentacles. Suddenly all of Apocrypha shook, your father's voice filled your ears. "Hermaeus Mora, you attempt to curry my son to your side?! You are a fool!" Suddenly he appeared next to you and Natsu, both of you looking at him in shock. "He will be my-" forcing Mora into a humanoid form your father forced him to the floor. "Hold your tongue. He is my son, and you will never claim him." Drawing his greatsword he plunged it into Hermaeus body, his dying foes roars filling Apocrypha. Suddenly Apocrypha shook and began to collapse, it's creator now dead. "Go you two. I already returned the other Dragon Slayers to Earthland." Seeing the opportunity Apocrypha contained you went to stop your father. "Don't worry son, I'll sustain this until you find a new ruler. One that won't become Daedra." Turning to you he patted your shoulder. "Now go." Opening a portal he sent you and Natsu back to Earthland.

When you opened your eyes again you were back in the guild hall, as if it were a normal day. You were sitting with Mira at the bar, and watching Juvia fawn over Gray. Natsu was acting like his normal self, talking to Lucy. However you both glanced at each other, and shared a look. You both knew what happened, and would never forget it.

Walking over to Natsu you both high fived, taking a drink. "We speak about that, only to the replacement we find." You whispered as you walked by, headed over to Juvia. You'd already come close to dying once, what could asking her out do to you?
