Chapter 7 First Day of School

Graywolf woke up to the sun shining in the glittering crystal cavern.  She chose the perfect room for her quarters.  After she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes Graywolf ran out of the cave to be met with Jamie.  "You ready to check this place out?"  "Yes, let's go."  "Hey hold it."  They both groaned.  "Daaaad."  "Oh come on, it's a new school."  Graywolf looked at her father confused.  She was given patrol last night to check out the village.  He never mentioned anything about a school.  "Wait what?"  "Afiow, you weren't suppose to tell her that."  Afiow looked at his mate sheepishly.  "Sorry my dear.  It just slipped out."  "I didn't know ninjas went to school."  "Ofcourse they do, well be safe you two and I will see you two after school.  We love you."  Aniow said to her two pups.  "Hold it.  Give your old man a hug would ya brats."  Graywolf and Jamie looked at one another and grinned.  They crept closer and he grew a knowing look in his eyes.  "Not that.  Graywolf.... Jamie...."  He tried to warn.  "DOG PILE!"  They both screamed jumping on him.  After they had finished picking on their father the two were off.

After they were out of sight of the pack Jamie turned to his sister with his shit eating wolf grin.  "Wanna race?"  He says already getting into stance.  Graywolf chuckled.  "You are so on."   They both bolted off in the direction of the village.  When they arrived they both collapsed to the ground laughing and out of breath.  "Dangit.  When are we ever gonna stop tying."  Jamie asked in huffs.  "When I stop slowing down for you to keep up."  Graywolf joked back knowing it was a load of doggy doo. 

"I suppose they were not kidding when the new girl has the spirit of a wolf."  They both looked up to find the voice who spoke.  "Hello miss Graywolf, my name is Norio (Man of law).  You are Graywolf and this is Jamie correct?"  Graywolf was still trying to catch her breath so she could only nod in response as she shoved herself up to her feet and shook the mans hand.  "I am from the water village originally protected by the sharks."  "Nice to meet you."  Graywolf finally managed to say.  He smiled at her and then turned to his side.

"Well let's get going.  Don't want to be late on your first day."  He said smiling some more.  That is when Graywolf noticed two other figures standing near by.  "Oh, where are my manners?  This is my daughter Saki (Blossom of hope) and my nephew Ryuu (Dragon).  Ryuu just stood there staring at Graywolf while Saki bowed respectfully.  "Children this is Graywolf the new leaders Grandaughter, and her wolf..."  "Brother."  Graywolf corrected him.  He looked at her for a moment then nodded continuing.  "And her brother Jamie."  "How is a wolf your brother?"  Ryuu asked.  "He's my bonded, how could he not be my brother?"  Graywolf awnsered back.  She could already tell they were going to butt heads but that was okay.  As long as she had Jamie she would be fine. 

After introductions they all started to head for the school and when they arrived the others were waiting.  "Hey Graywolf, bout time you get here."  Takeshi said bounding over to her.  Graywolf laughed a little.  "Nice to see you again too Takeshi."  He rolled his eyes and gave Graywolf a hug.  It was unexpected but she hugged him back seeming very comfortable with him.  They both heard someone make a dissatisfied sound and they parted looking over at the noise maker.

Go figure it was Takuke  "Takuke, what is your problem?"  "I should ask you the same thing.  You did slap me yesterday.  I didn't even get an apology."  Graywolf almost choked on her own spit.  "I owe YOU an apology?"  She asked him in disbelief.  "Yeah."  "Screw you!  I owe you nothing till you apologize for being a jerk to me yesterday leading up to me slapping you.  So you apologize I will."  He huffed in annoyance and walked away.

The young wolf girl looked over and saw that Haruka was glaring slightly but quickly hid it as she saw Graywolf looking at her.  "Look Haruka you may like him but I don't.  However, I do still want to be friends with you."  She looked at Graywolf for a moment before hugging her.  Soon after they walked into the school and got ready for first period.  Graywolf found out that her third period would be taught by non other then Hikashi.
