Chapter 14 Going Home

As time went by the others decided it was time for Graywolf to see where she really came from.  So they were taking her and the kids back to the Saphire village.  When they arrived everyone welcomed them home with open arms.  

"Welcome back Graywolf.  It has been a very long time since I have seen you my dear."  Said the Top Dog.  It is the leaders title of the village.  She met Komodo again and they began to get closer.  This made Jamie very uncomfortable with the situation.  He still didn't trust him at all.  

"You need to be more careful with him."  Jamie told her one evening.  "Brother, you know that if Takuke thought he was dangerous to me he wouldn't allow him to be around me at all."  Jamie rolled his wolf eyes and let out a slight growl.  She looked around to see what he was growling about and saw Komodo.  She lit up at this.  

Soon they were off to the falls to have their weekly picnic.  She was now 12 years old, and he was 15.  "How about we stay here tonight?"  He suggested.  Jamies head lifted at this and he growled again.  "Jamie be nice.  Komodo, why do you do this every week?  You always ask the same question and I always tell you no."  "Because, Graywolf,  I hope every week that you change your mind.  Don't you trust me?"  He said as he got closer to her.  She didn't realize his reasoning for this because she was only 12 but he had a crush on her that had grown over the past two years and he wanted her to stay with him as much as possible.  

She thought for a moment.  "I'll have to ask if Hikashi is okay with keeping the kids tonight."  "Okay, ask him then."  He said smiling at her.  Sure he knew she was young but he also knew that she was mature beyond her years and he couldnt help how he felt about her either.  She pulled out her communicator and hooked it around her neck activating it.  She pushed the button and spoke into it.  

"Hikashi?"  "Yes."  "Would you mind keeping the kids tonight.  I want to stay out here with Komodo tonight.  "What?"  Takuke said into the mic.  "I want to stay here tonight."  "Not alone you're not."  He told her.  "Im not alone Takuke.  I have Komodo and Jamie here with me."  "No."  "I asked Hikashi not you."  Komodo leaned over her pressing the mic.  "Hey, Takuke.  Relax man.  It's not like im going to hurt her.  Geesh. I just want her to stay here with me tonight.  Ive been asking for weeks.  Just chill."  "I'll keep them if this is what you want and not jsut because he wants it."  Hikashi told her.  "NO!"  "Yes I want this thankyou Hikashi love you guys." 

She then took the communicator off cutting Takuke off in mid sentence.  "Okay then.  Looks like ill bee here tonight."  She told Komodo, who never moved from how close he was.  "Good."  He breathed out giving her a kiss on the cheek.  "Watch it.  I'm still here and I will kill you."  Jamie growled out.  "Does he have to be here?"  "Yes hes my bonded."  She told him moving to her bonded.  

He sighed in annoyance.  But he was glad that he had her to himself tonight.  Well mostly to himself.  "Fine."  He told her walking into the cave behind the waterfall.  SHe sighed and walked in behind him motioning for Jamie to wait a minute.  She grabbed his arm and he just shook her off. He smiled alittle bit that she came in alone.  "What's wrong?"  "I want to be alone with you.  BUt you insist on having him here."  He spat at her.  She backed away from him.  

He realized he took it to far and turned around grabbing her and pulling the girl to his chest.  "Sorry for snapping.  I just don't know why you dont trust me enough to be alone with me."  "It's not that.  It's just, Ive never stayed anywhere without Jamie.  Even when I lived with Ryuu."  He sighed and sat down pulling her into his lap.  "Alright. Jamie get in here."  The large wolf walked in and when he saw Graywolf in Komodos lap he glared at the boy.  

That night Graywolf and Komodo slept side by side with Jamie watching Komodos every move the whole night.  He managed to get away with pulling her to him for the simple fact that she was cold and he wanted to keep her from getting sick.  

The next morning Jamie went off to get some food for the three of them.  "Finally."  Komodo said seeing he was alone with her.  She soon woke up with him holding her in his lap.  "Morning."  He told her.  "Morning, wheres jamie."  He got annoyed but hid it well.  "He went hunting for us this morning."  "I'm suppose to hunt with him."  She said starting to panic.   "He's 14, I think he can handle one hunt without you."  He said chuckling.  

She then stood up and went to the entrance of the cave.  "How long has he been gone?"  "30 mins."  She started to pace and he got up grabbing her.  "Hey relax, he'll be okay."  He picked her up and took her to the other side of the cave.  "But.."  "Stop."  He told her.  

Soon he had looked up to the entrance because he heard Jamie comming back to the cave with his kill.  "Damn that wolf."  He told her.  She just nodded as he sat up along side her.  He sat behind her and Jamie came in with a few rabbits.  

"You killed bunnies.  How mean."  Graywolf teased.  Jamie dropped the rabbits and stuck his tounge out at her.  "Just cook them for the lightweight brat."  She giggled as she got up and skinned the Rabbits and cooking them.  They ate and started to head back with Graywolf on Jamies back.  She never was a morning person and he knew that.
