Chapter 13 Loosing Takuke

As the weeks went on Takuke started to separate himself from the others.  She didn't understand what was going on with him and she tried to talk to him one day.

"Hey Takuke?  Can I talk to you?"  He looked at Graywolf with bordom in his eyes.  "Sure."  They walked away from everyone and spoke in privet.  "Are you okay?"  "Yeah."  "How can you say that?"  He looked over to her and saw that she was sad.  "What do you mean?"  "You say you're okay but you have been pulling away from us for these past couple of weeks.  I miss you Takuke."  She let a tear slip from her eyes.  

He grabbed her hand and pulled her to him.  "It's okay Graywolf.  You know I love you.  It's just I've been thinking alot lately about how I need to get stronger.  I met someone that can help me with that, but that means that I will have to leave the village for awhile."  She looked up to him from his arms and she was scared.  "You can't leave.  I need you."  Takuke has never told her but he had a crush on her for a long time and he just has never had the courage to tell her about it.  

He wanted to tell her so bad and he was about to when Hikashi came up to them.  "Everything okay with you two?"  Takuke seemed to flip a switch and walked away from the both of them without a word.  Graywolf watched him with worry in her eyes and turned to Hikashi.  She hugged him tight.  "Promise me something."  He looked at her shocked but wrapped his arms around her.  "Anything."  "Never leave me.  I don't think I could handle you doing the same thing he is doing to me right now."  She sniffled alittle into his arms and hugged him tighter.  She was loosing someone she had seen as a brother and she didnt want to lose anymore family at all. 

"I promise Graywolf.  You will never have to live without me with you in some way.  I'll never leave you.  I love you too much."  She sighed into him and breathed in his scent.  "Thank you."  She released him and went back to her training.  Ryuu watched her from his sparing match and lost his focus enough for Yjuu to knock him over.  Graywolf looked at him in consern and shock.  He jsut got up and walked over to her.  "What was that about?"  "It's just me being a baby I guess."  

After that she went to spare with Haruka and she was unnessasaraly rough with the training.  Soon she and the others went their separate ways and the walk home with Ryuu was quiet.  When they arrived home Rozalita and Zaynther ran to her.  "Momma, you're home."  They said happily.  "Hey babies.  How was your day with Aunt Princess?"  "It was so fun mom."  "Yeah she took us to the zoo.  Look at this picture."  Roze said with her eyes lighting up more.  Graywolf smiled at them.  

Ryuu saw that she was hiding something but the kids didnt seem to realize what was going on with their adoptive mother.  She played with them and helped them with their assignments for school the next day.  That night Graywolf climbed into bed with Ryuu and pretended to fall asleep till he did.  She then sneaked out of the house and went for a walk.  Before she knew it she was at her old house.  She saw that Takuke was sneaking out of the house.  It looked like he was going to meet someone.  

She hid her presence and followed him out of the village.  When he stopped someone showed up out of nowhere.  "Are you ready?"  "As long as you keep your end of the deal I am.  I just don't know what to do about Graywolf."  "Graywolf?  Who is she?"  "My teammate.  I want her to come with me.  SHe is jsut as good as me at fighting and in every way. I need her."  "Well if you can convince her then you should bring her with you.  Just remember when you are of age you will be comming with me with or without her.  If you're still serious about distroying your brother that is."  "You have nothing to be worried about.  I will distroy him."  

Her heart dropped.  He really is going to leave with him.  She was loosing her brother.  How much time will she have with him?  She wished she knew that awnser.
