Chapter 18 Second Day Second Fight

It was now day break and they found out that the first phase was not over yet.  Somehow they got separated from one another and Graywolf ran into Chorro and the others.  But it wasnt the Chorro she had come to know.  This man had turned into a demon.  He was killing mercelessly.  The animals tried to run away but he just kept killing them and when Graywolf saw that he was trying to kill a young wolf something snapped in her.  

She ran and pushed the young wolf out of the way and instead got picked up by the beast form of Chorro.  He had a deep blood lust in his eyes.  He wanted nothing more then to kill her.  "Chorro.  You'll kill her please stop."  He swiped at his siblings sending them sailing into a tree.  "CHORRO STOP!!"  He looked at her confused.  She was using her gift the Alpha tone.  Which caused all to stop at her command.  

"Let me down."  She said more softly.  He did as she commanded.  "Give yourself control again please."  Soon he started to faze back into the boy she knew.  He just stared at her as did his siblings.  "Why did you get in my way?"  "It's one thing to kill for your life its another to do it without reason.  Besides that was just a pup.  What damage could that little one really do to you."  He looked over to the whimpering pup and Graywolf went to it.  She picked it up and spoke to it in wolf.  'Are you alright little one?'  'Yes, your the princess arnt you?'  'I am.'  They killed my mother and then threw me in here.'  'You will come with me and I will keep you safe little one.'

"Chorro come here."  He was not used to taking orders but he came to her without question.  She placed the pup in his hands.  "Tell me.  Is this something you should kill just because another side of you is blood thirsty?"  He held the little creature in his hands and saw just how innocent it was.  "No."  "So why pray tell would you try to kill him?"  She watched as the puppy licked Chorros hand and nuzzled into him.  "You want to know the greatest things a k9 can teach us?"  He looked at her and waited for her to continue.  "Forgivness.  You just tried to kill this pup and here he is nuzzling your chest.  It looks like you have a new friend now."  

"I was sent here to do something horrible.  I was sent to kill."  "Dont do something just because others see you as a weapon.  Do the thing that you truly want to do."  "I am nothing but a monster."  "No.  Saying that is like saying that I am a monster.  I have a spirit wolf inside of me and sometimes she tries to break free.  When she cant she tries to make me do horrible things like killing innocent people.  You are not a monster.  You're human."  They all three looked to her in shock.  

She looked at him seeing his doubt in her words.  "I'm not going to give up on you Chorro.  And by the looks of it, neither is this pup.  Do me a favor and keep him safe for me.  And you little one keep him like this dont let him loose control.  I will see you both soon."  With that Graywolf ran off to find her team.  When she arrived Haruka and Takuke were getting attacked.  

"Hold on you guys.  I'm here."  "Bout time Graywolf.  Where the hell were you!?"  She laughed at him and threw the bear off him grabbing both Takuke and Haruka and running away from them.  "Hey we could have still fought."  "Not without Hikashi and Takeshi.  You know they would be mad if they missed all the fun."  He gripped her hand tighter and smiled.  It was the first one in weeks.  He loved it when she was like this with him.  It felt so natural.  Too bad he would have to leave soon.

Soon they found Takashi and Hikashi just chilling out.  "Seriously?  You guys got off lucky."  Graywolf said to them.  Hikashi just looked at her with a small smile on his covered lips when he saw Graywolf holding hands with Takuke like they used to.  He averted his eyes as he saw Takuke glaring at him.  

Graywolf and the others all piled up on Hikashi when he wouldn't put his book down.  "AAHHH.  Off you lunatics."  He hollered at them, but his yelling was in vain.  They kept picking on him and he finally put the book away.  "Bout time."  Haruka told him smiling as she sat next to him.  He wrapped his arm around her.  "Oh zip it Haruka."  He told her smiling at her as Graywolf took a seat on Takuke's lap and Takashi sat beside them.  

They started to doze off when they heard the buzzer telling them to come back to point A.  When they arrived Graywolf was relived to see Chorro with the pup still.  He was stroking it's back lightly when he saw her.  He walked over to her and the pup whimpered when he stopped petting him.  "Oh hush."  He told the pup softly.  

Graywolf smiled at him and scratched the pup behind the ears.  "He looks happy to be with you.  See I told you he wouldn't give up on you."  Graywolf told him nudging his arm.  The young boy just looked at her and let a small smile play on his lips as she spoke to him.  He never smiled since his uncle tried to kill him or when he was killing someone else.  It was nice to smile because someone made him happy for once.  His siblings just watched in shock.  They didn't understand why he listened to her or how she could get him to smile like that.  He couldn't understand it either.  All he knew was that she made him feel human, and made him feel like he wasn't a monster anymore.  Maybe there was hope for him yet.
