Ivy:

I woke in the early morning to a nightmare. The sun hadn't even risen yet. I looked around and realized that we were still in the abandoned factory we pulled into late last night. They must've wanted to just stay here incase the followed us.

Rather them follow us here rather than to our home. I looked at my brother sleeping. In looks, he hasn't changed all that much. On his left wrist was a watch, I looked over at it and saw it was 6:17am. I carefully got up from my brothers lap and saw all the bots were in recharge and Cade, Tessa, and Shane were still sleeping. Everyone but one bot was here.

The missing bot was Optimus.

I shuffled outside where he stood, watching the sun slowly rise and the stars dissapear one by one.

"Optimus. " I said quietly, but loud enough for him to hear.  He knelt down and allowed me to climb into his hand. "You are up early, are you alright young one? It was quite the ordeal you faced yesterday. "

I shook my head slowly, looking down. I was placed on his shoulder where I sat and brought my knees up to my chest. I sighed.

"What troubles you? " He asked.

"I dunno. Just.... "

"You can tell me anything. I will not judge nor look at you differently, if that is what you are afraid of. "

"No.. it's not that. I just don't know. You asked me what's bothering me. Well it's... it's everything. I almost died Optimus. It wasn't a nice experience. Those people wanted to experiment on me like some sort of lab rat. My brother is back after so many years. But more importantly... there's something I need to tell you.... "

"What is it? "

"When I was....well... dead, I saw someone. He gave me a message. He told me to tell you when I got the chance, he said only you would understand what it meant. "

Prime stayed silent. Looking at me intently with a worried and curious look. I looked up at him.

"He said, 'when you hold onto your history, you do it at the expense of your destiny.' "

The Prime vented and looked up into the sky. I followed his gaze. A single star remained. It was small... but the brightest one up there.

It was small... but the most noticeable up there.

It was small... but still remained once the sun rose past the clouds.

"Optimus? What's it mean? " I asked him.

He smiled softly. "It was a lesson I was taught long ago. Back when cybertron was still thriving and the war had not yet begun. Back when I was first becoming a Prime and when my sparkmate and I were preparing. "

"Preparing...? " I asked.

"We were having a sparkling. "

"That's like a baby right? " I asked, I had heard if sparkling but never in detail. Drift told me I didn't need to know just yet.

"In your terms, yes. We were preparing for a baby. "

".... and what uh... happened to them? If you don't mind me asking. " I said looking up at him softly. He gave a single nod.
