-Adam-
"hey, do i look okay or..?" i turned to see xavier laying on my bed. "no, actually you look like dog crap." i threw my shoe at him. "woah man, what the heck i'm just kidding, yeah you look good!" he said chuckling and sitting straight on the bed. "but what's your deal? why are you nervous? it's not like you're going on a date.." he said. "i don't know it's just..i don't know..i don't even know why i talked to her." i explain.
"it's like she's a magnet and i'm some kind of a metal and she's pulling me towards her without her even knowing." i finish and look up to see xavier looking at his phone, not even paying attention to what i just said.i shoved a pillow at his face."HEY!" i shouted. "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?! STOP THROWING STUFF AT MY PERFECT AND BEAUTIFUL FACE! THIS IS A MASTER PIECE"he shouted back. "yeah, a dog's master piece." i muttered under my breath. "hey! i heard that!" he said. "you were meant to hear that"i said, he rolled his eyes.
"i have to go pick her up now see you later." i say, getting up. "wait, you already know where she lives! wow man you're fast!" he said amusingly. i smack his head."i'm picking her up at the waffle shop idiot!" i said then got out of my room leaving him behind.
i arrived at the waffle shop, and saw her standing there looking at her phone. she was wearing a long-sleeved dress that ended just at her knees. she looked pretty.
i got out of the car and walked up to her. "hey, Rose." i greeted her with a smile. "hey, Adam." she said smiling. "you ready to go?" i asked her." aren't you gonna tell me where we're going?" she asked. "i told you yesterday, it's a place that i like to go when i want to think or if i want to be alone." i explained, walking her to my car. "okay." she said getting in.
i started the car and we began the long drive.
"so Rose" she turned her head to me. "i don't really know anything about you. so why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?" i told her. "trying to initiate a conversation here aren't you?" she said with a smirk. "just killing time here. now go on." i smiled.
"well, i'm Rose Anderson, i'm 19, an only child. my best friend's name is tiffany, but she's living in Australia for the next couple of months which sucks. uhh i love listening to music and reading and sometimes cooking. and obviously i love eating. i guess that's all." she finished, i looked at her, i look at her and say, "that's so basic rose, i don't want to know these stuff. well i want to but i mean, i want to know you. what makes you Rose Anderson. what you like and don't like. you know what i mean??" i finished and she smirked. "i guess these are the stuff you have to find out yourself." "does that mean we'll hang out again??" i asked with a small smile plastered on my face. "well it depends." she said then looked out her window. "on what exactly??" i asked but she didn't answer so i decide to drop it.
after a while, we arrive at our destination. we got out of the car. "you're not gonna throw me off that cliff are you??"she asked out of the blue. i look at her" yes, i took you here just to throw you off the cliff that's exactly what i was planning for." i answered sarcastically. "shut up" she mumbled, i laughed.
i went to sit on the edge of the cliff when she stopped me. "wait, what are you doing?" "umm was about to sit down..?" i answered. "on the edge?" she exclaimed. "yeah, it's not that scary you know. c'mon i'll show you." i grabbed her wrist and took her to the edge of the cliff and i sit down. "see? it's totally fine. sit down" she sat down hesitantly, not looking down, our feet dangling. "how are you not scared?" she asked, confused.
"when i first started to come here i was terrified, but then i stopped thinking about what could happen if i fall off and started thinking about the beauty of this view, the clearness of the water underneath our feet, the beautiful sky and the cloud shapes. when you start thinking that way and you start to see how beautiful it is out here, you'll be satisfied and relaxed. you'll be able to think straight or clear your mind."
i looked at her "close your eyes." she did as i said. "look down, then open them slowly, look around, think about what i just told you." i said and then she opened her eyes and started to look around.
i kept my eyes on her. i couldn't keep them off her. she looked so peaceful and cute, she just looked so...beautiful i guess. but i feel like her mind isn't as peaceful as i think it is.
she looked at me "you're right. wow." she said smiling. "see! i told you." i said. and then we stayed like that for a while, sitting side by side watching the sunset in a comfortable silence.
"let's play 20 questions." she said, breaking the silence.
