-Adam-
Driving home, singing to car radio by twenty one pilots, I started thinking about Rose.
I think about what's on that little mind of hers, although I don't think it's little at all, I think it's gigantic and full of things that make her so lost in her own mind and thoughts.
when I asked her what she was thinking about, it's like my question had hit her hard , harder than i could i ever imagine, that's why I let it drop when she didn't answer me.
she seems so mysterious, yet she's like an open book. she seems sad, yet she smiles genuinely and laughs all the time. she is everything and it's opposite at the same time.
I know I only know her for like one day, but her mood has shifted more than five times during the day.
Her eyes held a different emotion every time I looked into them. Joy, when we laugh or talk about some random shit. Emptiness, when she looked down at her hands. Fascination, when we were staring at the stars and sunset. And finally pain...pain, when she looked at the water underneath. Every time I'd sneak a glance at her it was different than the other.
But that's not it, I can tell there's a story for each and every single emotion, and I will know them all one day, I promise myself that I would.
I got into my apartment and, of course, Xavier was sleeping on the couch and the TV was still on. Wait, is that Spongebob? What the.. I'm living with a five year old. I woke him up to go sleep in his own room. "Noooo, I don't want to sleep." he muttered sleepily and childishly.
"Dude, you're already half-asleep, go sleep in your room." I told him trying to push him off the couch but failed miserably. "No, i want to know how did it go for you first." he said, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
I sighed. "It was nice, different I guess. We spent the day talking and playing some games and laughing and staring at the sky, telling each other some stories, I told her about my sister Meredith and she told me about her best friend Tiffany.." He cut me off. "Wait wait..her best friend huh? Is she hot?" he smirked. "What?? I don't know her." "Okay okay, go on." I sighed again."Anyway , it was relaxing actually, I like spending time with her. she's different from any other girl, and I like that she's not like them." I looked at him and he was staring at me intensely. "What?" "Oh nothing nothing." he said, shaking his head.
"Hey, Xavier?" I said, catching his attention. "yeah?" "I..I think I'm gonna love her one day.." I said avoiding his gaze."I know Adam, trust me." he said. "how?" "I know you, and I can tell by the way you're talking about her now that you will." he explains. " But I don't have any feelings for her now..but I have a feeling that I will soon." I said. "Now the real question here is, do you want to love her?" he asked me, looking into my eyes.
"I still don't know her that much Xavier, but maybe if i knew her more I'd want to love her." I told him, truthfully. "Then you're gonna have to know her better so you can get your answer, Adam." he got up, patted my back and went to his room.
I got to my room too and changed. I unlocked my phone to text Rose.
Adam: 'you awake?' I waited a while for a reply but nothing came. Maybe she was asleep already. I set my phone on my beside table and got ready to sleep. My phone lit up with a text notification.
Rose: 'yeah'
Adam: 'took you long enough ; )'
Rose: 'yeah, sorry about that. didn't want to talk to anyone'
Adam: 'why?'
Rose: 'It's nothing just drop it.'
Adam: 'Are you okay?'
Rose: 'I'm fine'
Adam: ' Are you sure?want me to come over?'
Rose: 'No no, it's okay, i'm fine, really : )'
Adam: 'Okay : )'
We said nothing after that. What could've possibly happen in a matter of the few hours I had left her?
I was just about to sleep when I got a new text message.
Rose: 'wanna hang out tomorrow?' I smiled.
