"Here we are. Home sweet home." Clark announced as he stepped into their penthouse, bringing along Claire's heavy suitcase like it weight nothing.
Claire trailed behind him and a grin spread widely on her face. She noticed that her home was still in the same condition as she left months ago and she loved it. Dark grey walls with expensive paintings hanging on them, big fireplace and a 60' inch television on top of it; a nice place to relax and her mother's antique collections displayed on a glass shelf near the dinner room.
The penthouse was big; for a three-membered family. But it was a perfect place to live in as superheroes; top of the building, overview the city. Superman and Wonder Woman couldn't ask for more and eventually, so does Claire. Fortunately, with Diana unlimited fortune, no one suspected anything from them as Clark was just a journalist and individually couldn't afford the penthouse.
"Although I love being on the island with Grandmother, I still miss home." The young Super stated absentmindedly as she walked around the penthouse with her eyes closed; taking everything in.
Diana smiled softly at her daughter and went to the kitchen. Knowing that her daughter had such a big appetite like any Kryptonians, she took out all the ingredients to make a lasagna. "Claire, I'm making you a lasagna. You can hit the shower if you want to, this will take for a while."
Claire plopped herself onto the couch in front of the fireplace and made herself comfortable, laying on it. "It's okay, Mom. I'm gonna sleep for a while." She said and yawned.
Her blue eyes began to dropped when suddenly Clark came beside her and tickled her. "Dad!! Stop!" She laughed, falling down from the couch.
"This is what happen when you stinks." Clark kept tickled his daughter and both of them rolled on the floor like immature children. Laughters bounced against the brick walls and Diana couldn't help but to let out a chuckle as she watched the father and the daughter from the kitchen.
People may thought that Superman was a fearless, strong-hearted man. They assumed him as a god with unimaginable powers who protected them from all sorts of evil. From the mad Joker to the immortal Savage, they feared him of what he possessed. He is invinsible.
But who Diana saw was a different man. Underneath the muscles, Superman was just like any other person. He was still a caring father. Fearing for his daughter's safety. Giving her a company when she was having nightmares and sang her the lullaby until she fell asleep on his chest. Making lame jokes when she was feeling down or giving up on the hard trainings. He was the father that everyone could dream of. And Claire was a lucky girl to have him.
"Dad!" Claire struggled underneath him but Clark was obviously stronger than her and kept poking her. A tear started to well up in her eyes from the laughters.
Out of the sudden, a beep was heard from the TV and Bruce Wayne's emotionless face appeared in it. But it softened when he saw the sight upon him.
"Umm, Clark?" He raised an eyebrow and watched as Clark scrambled to his feet along with Claire.
"Bruce. Sorry." Clark cleared his throat and put on his Superman's mask on, looking serious.
"Hey, Uncle Bruce. What's up?" Claire chirped in when she turned to her second-favourite man, after her father of course. Bruce was her godfather and had been an important part of her life. He was there when Superman and Wonder Woman were too busy saving the world and took her in as his daughter, even for a while. He was the one who spoilt her with toys and stuffs and ignored Clark and Diana as they protested his way of spending his money to their daughter.
And Bruce had to admit, Claire did make him a softie.
Bruce looked down to her and smiled, "Hello, Claire. I thought you're at Themyscira."
