It was a bright morning. Well, bright for the fact that the sun was just starting to rise. We decided to leave super early because the flight to Alola would take awhile and by the time we got there, it would be close to dusk. Ash and I had our stuff ready. We were just waiting for a taxi to take us to the airport. Ash was still pretty tired, I had dragged him out of bed and after he called the cab and got dressed, he laid down in the recliner in our living room. I was afraid Id have to wake him again so I have been keeping up some conversation with him. We were talking about generic things. What we hoped Alola to be like, what kind of  Pokémon there might be, how tropical it really is, what well do with Bonnie and Clemont. That sort of things. The topics were boring because both of us were still sleepy but I knew that neither one of us could afford to fall asleep before getting on the plane.

Finally, a little while later, we heard the honk of the cab outside our house. ash got up slowly as I opened the door and gave the driver the destination. We locked the house up and put a spare key under the mat for Delia. Ash recalled Greninja to his pokeball for the car ride since there was not enough room in the cab for two people and a person sized Pokémon. Pikachu stayed in my lap once I sat down in the cab. Ash immediately laid his head against the window as the cab started driving for the airport. Pikachu curled up and fell asleep in my lap. I looked out the window and watched the sunrise as we drove past the loads of cars going into work and such. It felt calm right before the chaos that is the airport. I'm glad Ash is watching this sunrise with me in a sense. His presence is here, but he is not awake and aware completely. It feels like it's been so long since we've had a romantic moment together. This would be one I would remember for the days to follow, but Ash would not for the obvious fact that he is asleep.

We arrived at the airport about an hour after we left the house in the cab. I woke Ash up which was way easier than I had thought it would be. All I did was whisper, "Ashy, there's food in the airport for you," in the calmest and sweetest voice I could manage with how sleepy I was. It worked. Ash almost immediately sprung to life and helped me and Pikachu out of the cab. Ash even offered to carry my backpack for me. I missed this gentlemanly side of him. Ever since we had the dull life, he had become a typical man. He was lazy. It is so great to see the Ash I love back. This is the Ash I fell in love with!

After we got in and got our tickets, we went through security and all that. I promised Ash that he would eat once we were seated on the plane. Ash surprised me and got us booked first class. I was happy because at this airline, the first class has beds as seats. This is great because I can go back to sleep, especially with how long of a flight this is. Alola from Kanto is approximately 12 hours this trip. Ash and I are sure to make up the sleep we lost this morning. We got to our seats on the plane because first class could board if the plane was already docked. As soon as we got to our seats, I crashed on one side of the bed. I didn't care that I wasn't wearing bed clothes or anything. I was too tired to stay up any longer. I laid there and told Ash to wake me up for whatever meal comes first. After that, I fell to sleep so fast, I forgot I was on a plane.
