After we got out and changed into our typical attire, we grabbed our Pokémon and got ready to head out. Ash had Greninja out of his pokeball because he thought their bond was so strong that Greninja didn't need to be in his pokeball unless fainted or tired after a battle. Pikachu was out for his own obvious reason. Ash clipped the rest of his pokeballs onto his belt. I put mine into my bag as I threw it onto my shoulders. We got our shoes on and began roaming into Pallet town. First stop, Professor Oak's lab!

I was excited on this walk. It meant that we were truly getting ready to embark on a new unknown path. I was holding Ash's hand as tight as I could. I couldn't keep my smile down, I was so excited. This walk wasn't just another boring walk either. We were making the preparations necessary to go on to Alola! I was excited to see the new region along with all the new and cute Pokémon! I heard from passerby trainers that the starter Pokémon there are really cute! It makes me all the more excited to go. I actually want to battle the Pokémon there. It seems really fun!  Plus, I've got the best teacher in the whole world! Of course, I wouldn't want anyone else teaching me other than the Ash Ketchum. Everything about Alola is already looking up compared to this old boring life.

We finally arrived at Oak's lab. It's been so long since I have last been here. It was so huge back then. It seems a lot smaller now that I have a better perception of how large this world is. Ash and I walked up to the front door and rang the bell. A red-haired boy came to the door. He looked almost the same age as Ash and I. "Ah, Ash! Is working the gym too difficult for you? Who is this pretty thing you've got with you?" Ash spoke up and got a little defensive, "No, however, it is getting boring with it not being an official pokemon gym yet. I don't know why they built it. This," he pointed to me, "is my fiancé, Serena. You and I went to camp with her when we were little." The boy laughed, "Is this the girl who clung to you after you rescued her from a poliwag? Didn't she leave Kanto after camp though?" I nodded, "Yeah I did, but I found Ash while he started to explore Kalos. He fell off of prism tower saving Pikachu after Pikachu fell off trying to save a Garchomp from Team Rocket." The boy raised an eyebrow, "Team Rocket is still chasing you, Ashy Boy? Giovanni was just arrested for pokemon trafficking while you were gone. I don't know how they are still chasing you." Ash spoke up, "We haven't had any trouble since coming back to Kanto. Anyway, my real reason for coming here is that Serena and I are going to Alola. I wanted a fresh start. Is your grandpa around? Oh, Serena, this is Gary. He and I are friends of sorts." I smiled and gave Gary a nod, "I remember you now. You always hassled  Ash during camp." Gary smirked, "Yup, that was me. Back when I lacked maturity anyway. As for my gramps, yeah, he's here. He's tending to all the pokemon we've caught throughout our separate journeys. I can take your pokeballs so we don't disturb him. Please, come in."

We stepped in, and the place was huge.  The living room was nice and quaint. Gary led us to the laboratory part of the house. "What pokemon are you turning in, Ash?" Ash responded, "I'm keeping Pikachu obviously and Greninja because of our special bond." Gary interrupted, "I've heard about that. It's like a mega-evolution of sorts. However, its only for you two though. I'd love to see that if you could battle me later. We've got a mega stone for Charizard and a keystone. What'd you say, Ash?" Greninja nodded at Ash and Ash replied, "Bring it on, Gary." Ash and Gary walked to the computer to transfer the pokemon to the lab. "I've got Hawlucha, Talonflame, Goodra, and Noivern," Ash said as he gave Gary his pokeballs. Greninja and Pikachu stood back with me while Ash transferred his pokemon to the lab's PC. After that was finalized, Ash and Greninja turned to Gary, "You ready to see our bond?" Ash and Gary had a determined look on both of their faces as we all headed out to the battlefield with Pikachu on my shoulder fist-pumping the air.
