Ash and I abruptly woke up to the feeling of what I immediately assumed was turbulence. Ash grabbed me as tight as he could. He must have thought we were crashing. I did too, until I looked out the window. We had arrived. We just felt the impact of the landing. I turned Ash's head to see what I saw and when he did, his grip loosened with a sigh, "Oh man, I thought we were crashing or something. I never felt so panicked before when flying." I looked at him curiously, "You've flown to several regions, have you never felt turbulence before?" He responded as he sat up, "Not really, there has been some before but it was never really noticeable." I smiled and kissed his lips, holding them there for what felt like more than I actually had them there for. "You're so silly, Ash. I'm glad you care about our safety like that, too." He nodded, "Of course I care, you are the love of my life, Serena." I couldn't help but feel my face get warm after that. it felt like Ash and I haven't talked like this since we were in Kalos. "So, do you have any clue where this region's professor is or where Bonnie and Clemont will be?" Ash looked at me then he shook his head, "No, but I bet we'll get some info in the airport. I hope they unload our class first, I'm so excited! All the new Pokémon, new adventures, old friends. I hope I get my first Pokémon before Bonnie challenges me." I responded, "Why's that, Ash?" He chuckled lightly, "Do you think Bonnie will stand a chance against Pikachu or Greninja? I want her to have a fair fight against me, even if I'm the more experienced one." I nodded, "You're right. Where is Pikachu, anyway He was here when we first got to our seats, wasn't he?" Ash held out a pokeball in front of himself, "He's in his pokeball. While you were asleep, I got told that Pikachu couldn't be out of his pokeball. I did have to convince him, but he did go into the ball for me." The ball shook in Ash's hand and he whispered to it, "We're here, I just can't let you out until we get off the plane. Not too much longer now, Pikachu." Ash put Pikachu's pokeball back on his belt and we waited to be dismissed from the plane.
It took longer than either of us had expected, but we did get off the plane. As we stepped off the terminal, Ash let out both Greninja and Pikachu. "Welcome to Alola, you three!" I raised an eyebrow, "You three? What?" Ash softly laughed as he said, "I meant you too, Serena." I walked up to him and hugged him, whispering into his ears, "I love you, Ash." He replied, "I love you too, now come on! We have to go find this professor. Not to mention, I have to get a Pokémon before I battle Bonnie and possibly Clemont too." I nodded and off we went.
We walked around the airport looking for anything that could tell us where to go to see the professor. The only info we had to go on was that this professor called himself Professor Kukui. We went to the entrance and saw a bunch of "Welcome to Alola" signs. One of them caught my eye. I dragged Ash over to it. It had a map that showed new trainers in Alola how to find the professor. He was just a short walk away from the airport, having his lab/house on the beach on MeleMele Island. With the new info in our heads, we started running out of the airport towards the lab, Ash's Pokémon keeping up behind us. This was truly the start of a new adventure and a new chapter of our lives!
