Jessica woke to an empty bed, she was in one of the spare bedrooms of Jason's apartment. She had fallen asleep with Jason beside her, but now he was gone she sat up and rubbed her neck. It had been three days since Alec was attacked yet he was still to weak to stand by himself. Celena was coming and going freely, more coming rather then leaving, Alec hadn't showered in the three days, being to stubborn to let Jason help him, he was stubborn enough to rival Jessica, who would refuse to let Celena help him shower and didn't particularly want to see her brother naked.
Jessica exited the bedroom and walked into the living room. She paused as she passed the bathroom the water from the shower was running so she assumed that Jason was having a shower and continued into the lounge room.
"Morning," smiled Jason as she entered.
"Who's in the shower?" She asked surprised to see it was not her boyfriend.
"Are you applying that I smell my dear lady," he asked pulling her down onto the couch.
"Only of leather and printers ink."
"I smell like old books. I should wash more thoroughly,"
"It's a good smell, you always smell like it, as well as burnt sugar, but that is the smell of your magic." She explained. "Everyone has a specific odor and you never answered my question."
"Alec, the magic finally worked on him, he is still bruised but healed, if everyone has and odor what does Alec smell like?"
"Blood, sweat, and citrus,"
"Nice combo," he smiled playing with her hair, "strawberries, mint and wild flowers, with a hint of... " Jason trailed of.
"What,"
"Citrus," he mused, "that's your smell,"
"Good to know," Jess replied, stifling a yawn.
"Want to have a bit of fun," he whispered in her ear.
"Depends on what you have in mind," she looked at him tiredly, she was not fully awake yet.
Jason snapped his fingers and a stack of clothes appeared on the arm of the couch. He picked them up and put under the coffee table. Seconds later the water shut off. Alec came out holding a towel around his waist frowning, he walked into the main bedroom and out again.
"Did you lose something?" Jess asked with mock seriousness.
"Yeah what's up al," Jason tormented him.
"Don't call me that, I could have sworn I took clothes into the bathroom with me,"
"One would hope so," Jess retorted sarcastically.
"There probably still in there," he muttered before turning back to go to the bathroom.
Jessica and Jason turned to each other trying to suppress their giggles. Jess quickly turned back to Alec to make sure he hadn't caught on. She started at the sight of his back. Swirling black marks covered the entire space. Threatening to creep onto his torso and shoulders.
"Alec why on earth would you get a tattoo!" Jess yelled catching his attention.
"I don't have a tattoo,"
"your back begs to differ," she pointed to his back.
Alec launched at Jason. "You did this, take it off,"
"Alec, Jason wouldn't do it, they look similar to the mark Celena has." She paused on that note and grabbed her phone of the counter. "Hold still I'll take a photo,"
