Chapter 13: Savannah and Alec

"Jess have you seen savannah?" Luke shouted down the phone

"No,why?"

"She went out with her vampire boyfriend and never came back she said she was going to the lair but when Chris went to see she wasn't there,"

"This is savannah we're talking about she probably dragged him off to a hotel or something and is to high to come home. Alec and I are on patrol tonight if we see her we will send her home."

"Please find her!" Luke pleaded. He had never felt this desperate to find savannah. If he hadn't of been so overwhelmed at how casually she had said 'I love you' perhaps he wouldn't of let her go of with that vampire freak.

"We will Luke," Jess promised not knowing what she had gotten herself into.

"I'm just saying Luke shouldn't be that worried. It's savannah we are talking about she disappears for days at a time to have sex with who ever she feels like and comes home like nothing happened," Alec stated as they made their patrol around the city. Not many demons had been bothering manhattan lately so they weren't that concerned.

"Luke was extremely worried. and the fact that she was with a vampire. Just makes things that much worse. And besides Chris knows so I'm more scared about what he'll do, than what trouble she got herself into,"

"What's that." Alec pointed to the pulsing red glow that was coming from the rubies incrusted into her daggers handled.

"Rubies, that means..."

"Arachnid demons,"

"Let's hope they're juveniles,"

Each natumeste warrior is awarded with a gem incrusted with dagger when they come of age, encrusted with Rubies, sapphires, emeralds, diamonds, opals and topaz. Each gem glows with a pulsing light when a certain kind of demon is around.

The pushed through the door of the abandoned warehouse and found themselves facings 3 adult spider arachnid demons. "It had to be spiders. Why spiders why couldn't it be butterflies or something like that but spiders." Alec muttered to himself. As Jessica attacked the demons.

"A little help wolf boy," she shouted as one of the three pinned her to the ground. Without thinking any more about how much he hated spiders he attached another. Jessica managed to wound the spider whom had trapped her but managed to severely burn her hand on demon blood in the process she screeched in Pain and held her hand close to her body. The pain was unbelievable and the burning

Never stopped. She pulled her bow off her back and notched an arrow. The moment her bow was drawn she let the arrow fly into the eye of one of the spiders she sent another three arrows flying before she managed to wound it enough for Alec to end it's life with one swift movement of his sword Alec whirled around to face the other 2 demons but was to late one of the spiders had snuck up on Jess and leapt. In a moment of sheer terror Alec screamed so loud that his throat got dry. "Jess look out!"

Jess spun around panicked her heartbeat picked up Her hands were shaking uncontrollably in a moment of sheer panic her world turned red thunder crackled outside the warehouse and the air grew cold and windy Alec almost tumbled over with the force of the wind.

As he watched Jess created a fire and a storm and made it snow and made the wind pick up around them. It was strange to see his sister, the girl he had grown up with, Control three of the four natural elements. His sister had the power to manipulate these elements but had not yet learned to control her ability. As Alec stared the creature who had been trying to attack Jess light up like kindling and burnt to ash in within milliseconds. Before that ash got swept up in the wind and intended to squeeze the air out of there lungs. The third spider like creature scattered and fled into a near by hotel.
