BEFORE YOU START READING!!

I wanted to tell the new readers that I have an edited version of this book called "The Mafia's Doctor."

If you don't want to be disappointed, I'd suggest you get out of this version and head on over to the new one. THIS BOOK IS CONSIDERED "NOT FINISHED"!!!

Seriously, hop on over to the edited version. You will absolutely hate me if you read this one!

If you continue to read, don't say I NEVER WARNED you.

Kimberly Stratus:

"Kimberly, do you know which room they moved patient Jackson Waller to?" Nurse, and one of my best friends, Charlotte asked me as she tried to multitask texting information of the patient to her colleagues and writing it down on her notepad.

"Nope. Sorry, you'll have to ask Justin. I'm going to be off the clock for a bit." I told her, tapping my watch.

"What?" She yelled, grabbing my wrist to check the time. "Oh no! It's already one!"

"Yeah, why?"

"I need to turn in the assignment to Dr. Yasmin!" Charlotte tossed her notepad and phone to me and began running towards the nurse's lounge.

"She's going to kill me now!" She yelled, passing wounded patients, worried visitors, and busy nurses who threw her questioning looks.

I head towards my office after I had watched Char ran out of sight. I took off my white coat and hung it on my chair, placing Charlotte's stuff on my desk, where she will able to find it. Before heading out, I grabbed my purse and phone.

Fortunately, there was a convenience store down a few blocks from the hospital. Mostly every staff heads their once in awhile to pick up snacks for their tight shifts.

My break only last 30 minutes, just giving me enough time to walk the couple blocks, grab a few bags of chips, and back.

The day was oddly bright, the sun was out, and there was not a single cloud floating near it. But the gentle breeze that swept by was a good match for the summery vibes that this day gave off.

I often look at the items displayed in the windows of the shops as I walk by, curious of what they're selling. I stopped in front of the pet store, right next to the convenience store, waving at the interested puppy in the window. I smiled as a few of the puppy's sibling came over to greet me.

Near by, I could hear muffled sounds of an argument. It wasn't until I said goodbye to the puppies and made my way to the convenience store to see that the debate was taking place in between the alleyway of the two shops.

The two men shouted at each other, their face red, eyebrows furrowed, and veins popping out of their neck. The verbal fight looked heated, at the edge of it getting physical, arms and hands moving as they yelled to make their point. Feeling uneasy, I moved forward and into the store.

Matteo Casciani:

"I thought we had a truce!" I yelled, angrily at the man in front of me.

"Then why were three of my best men killed, Casciani? You and your father were the only one who knew their exact location." Riccardo asked me.

"It wasn't our men, Riccardo. " I defended.

"How am I suppose to believe that? Do you think I'm stupid?"

This was ridiculous, I was just out, running errands for my father when I ran into Riccardo Stollo. Somehow ended up in an alleyway, between a pet shop and a convenience store, arguing with Stollo.

"Look, we can get to the bottom of this together. Stollo, my father doesn't go back on his words." My mother was right, I should have left with her to England, mafia business was nasty.

"No. Reece wouldn't like that." The way Riccardo mentioned his recently dead right-hand men sent chills down my back. He took a step closer to me, pulling out his hidden pocket knife.

"No, Stollo. Not here, not now. We can work this out, just let me speak to my father." I said, firmly, as I slowly backed up and eyed the switch blade.

Kimberly Stratus :

Walking into the store, the bell rang, informing the worker a customer had arrived.

"Good afternoon, Kim." Janelle, the recently new cashier, greeted me.

Janelle and I have gotten somewhat close, viewing her as a younger sister. She was currently 17 and took this job to save up for her college and a car. When she rings me up, we often chit-chat about new gossip and unusual events.

I waved and walked over to the middle aisle, knowing that's where the snacks were kept. I grabbed a bag of gummy worms and lemon chips. Before walking over to Janelle, I stopped to grab a can of Pepsi.

"You are a doctor, right?" She asked me as she rang me up.

"Yeah."

"Then why are you getting unhealthy snacks? You know we have apples, carrot sticks, and water." Janelle told me, bagging my items into the plastic bag after judging them.

"Hey! I work out." I told her, pretending to be offended.

"Really?" Her eyebrow cocked up as she handed me the bag.

"Yeah, walking here and back is enough exercise."

Janelle only shook her head and rolled her eyes. I looked down at my watch to see I had ten minutes left to make it back to the hospital. I said goodbye and headed out.

Stepping out, I noticed it was quiet. I walked past the alleyway and stopped to see that the two men that were fighting earlier were gone. They probably brought the argument inside, it's disturbing when people fight in public. I was about to walk off when I heard a groan of pain, that's when I did a double look.

On the ground was one of the two men from earlier.

I've been going through this major glitching on Wattpad, so this book might be on and off the shelf. I also haven't figured out my daily publishing days yet.

Anyways, please don't forget to vote, share, and comment.
