Matteo Casciani:
"Diano said that he had spotted some of Stollo's men searching out our houses, back in America, after we left." My father informed me as he leaned back into his chair.
"He also said that Stollo must have known we were in Italy after two weeks," I said, scratching my chin.
"I'm expecting a re-"
On the table that was between my father and me, my phone buzzed, the vibration caused it to move to the edge. I, quickly, got out of my seat to lunge at it before it can hit the floor. I looked at the caller ID and answered the call, seeing that it was Marcella.
"We'll be there in a few," Marcella told me as soon I picked up.
Before I could ask her what she meant, she hung up on me.
I was currently at my father's house to discuss the incident in town earlier. After I arrived at the safe house, I got a call from him ordering me to get my ass over to his place. Why would Marcella head over here?
"What was that?" My father asked as I set my phone back on the table, making sure to place it in the center.
"I don't know." I shrugged, "It was Marcella."
"Anyways," My dad said, continuing our conversation that was interrupted, "I'm expecting a reaction from Stollo. Why hasn't he made a move yet?"
My phone, once again, buzzed to tell me I had another incoming call. This time, it was from Toni.
"Where you at, boss?" He questioned.
"I'm over at my father's," I answered, "Why?"
"Don't go to the safe house."
"Huh?" I asked confused.
"It's not safe anymore," Toni explained, "It was stollo's attack."
Kimberly stratus:
I closed the car door behind me.
"This is one of your guy's safe house?" I asked as I eyes the normal-looking two-story house. "It seems a little bit small for all of you guys."
Compared to the two safe house I've recently have been in, this building was a whole lot smaller.
"It's not a safe house," Marcella admitted as she punched in the number of the code into the pad on the door. After three tries, the door unlocked. "It's Matteo's house, but under our situation, it's the safest house to be in."
The door opened into a hallway and led us into the living room, where we all gathered in. We all realized something and froze in unison. As we stayed still and quiet, we strain our ears for sound.
"Matteo's not here," Marcella announced the thought that floated through our minds. She, then, walked off to the other room of the house in search for him, just in case he was here.
As Marcella left, Giovanni went to the restroom to look for a toothbrush to clean out his stinky mouth. Beside me, Aiden plopped onto the couch, messing the pillows that once sat neatly. I took this time to look around.
I walked myself to the sliding glass doors to take a look at the backyard. I spotted a hammock between two trees and felt slightly childish. I opened the door to the point where I could slide between to get out. Eagerly, I walked over to the orange hammock and laid myself down. This was relaxing.
Relaxing. I chuckled at myself. These past couple months have been nothing close to relaxing. I frowned as I went over the events that happened. If it were possible, I'd like to forget all of this. Matteo, Stollo, everyone, I want it back to how it was before I got my license suspended.
My eyelids got heavy as I felt my energy drain from me. I let out one more deep breath before I let sleep take over.
Matteo Casciani:
I drove up the driveway of my house and parked next to Aiden's car. The door was already unlocked for me. I walked into my home to the sound of people watching the television.
"Aiden!" I heard Marcella yelled, "Did you just fart?"
"Sorry, my bottom burped." Aiden laughed. "I told you that popcorn made me gassy!"
"Shhh. You're going to miss the kiss." I heard Giovanni say as he tried to hush them.
"How is this romantic? He found a corpse in the forest and decides to kiss it." Aiden commented.
I reached the end of the hall to see that Giovanni, Aiden, and Marcella were on the couch watching Snow White.
"Honestly, I'd fuck her," Giovanni said, bluntly, "Why stop at a kiss?"
"What the actual fuck?" Marcella asked him, sounding just as disgusted I felt. She turned her head to look at him as she moved her hand to smack Giovanni on his head. He dipped his head, avoiding her hit, causing her to look past him to and noticed me.
"What took you so long?" She asked, pausing the movie.
"It's been only 30 minutes since you called me," I said.
"What happened?" I asked, changing the subject.
"It was a shooting." Aiden informed me, "I think it was Stollo."
"Obviously it's Stollo." Giovanni said, "He's mad that Kimberly got away."
"Speaking of Kimberly, where is she?" I looked around the room, barely realizing that she wasn't in the room.
"She's outside in the backyard," Marcella told me before going back to their movie.
