Sorry, I've been putting this chapter off because of writer's block. I realized this chapter is as good as its gets, so I apologize in advanced if it's dry.

Please do continue reading on :)

Kimberly Stratus:

As I drove past the red light, in the corner of my eyes, I caught Aiden winking off into the traffic light.

"What was that for?" I asked, worried that it was a signal that I couldn't comprehend, like Toni's honk that I mistook as a "Hello."

"Got to look good for the ticket's picture." He joked.

I frowned as I took my hands off, one by one, the steering wheel to wipe the sweat away. Running a red light, another thing to add to my new criminal record.

"You're still driving the speed limit?" Marcella told me. "You know that they'll catch up any minute now."

"Does it matter?" I asked. "I mean if they catch up to us, what are they going to do? Like, we are in sperate vehicles."

I swerved at the sound of the gunshots. Quickly, not to drive onto the sidewalk, I jolted the wheel to stay on the road. Looking over my shoulder for a better look, I see a man leaning outside of the passenger window aiming a gun directly at us. Of course, they had guns.

"D-do we have weapons?" I asked desperately. No one responded, which answered my question.

"Fuck it," Aiden said. Unexpectedly, he leaned over, placed his hand on my knee, and pressed down on my leg. This caused my foot to slam down onto the gas pedal. I watched the speedometer go over 90 as the car picked up speed.

"Aiden!" I yelped, trying to pick up my leg. "We are going to crash." I glanced at Giovanni and Marcella for their disapproval, but it looked like they didn't care. Marcella was on the phone, typing. As for Giovanni, he was unbuckled and searching the back of the car for anything that can help us out.

Cars noticed how fast we were going and even moved aside to avoid getting hit. As we passed the cars, some honked angrily.

"Map says we have to take a right onto the highway," Marcella said as she took off her seatbelt to lean forward into the space between the driver and the passenger seat. "Don't miss it."

"Wait! This right?" I asked. "Aiden! We are going to miss it! Take your hand off my leg!"

We were going too fast. At this rate, we're going to drive past the exit.

Aiden didn't remove his hand, nor lighten his grip. With his free hand, Aiden grabbed the bottom of the steering wheel and jolted it right, taking us out of the city and onto the highway.

I screamed as I let go of the steering wheel and immediately grabbing hold of my seatbelt and the holding handle attached to the door. The sudden force pushed us to lean right, causing Giovanni to tumble from his hunched upright position. His head collided with the window and he groaned in pain.

Aiden managed to drive us onto the highway without difficulty. If we weren't going to die from the guns of our enemy, we would be killed in a crash.

"Aiden, stop it," I screamed. "You can't drive from the passenger seat. Let's stop somewhere and swi-"

Aiden looked at me and raised his eyebrows, letting go of the steering wheel before I can finish saying my suggestion.

"Aiden!" I yelled angrily at his careless action after I got a steady hold on the steering wheel.
