Kimberly Stratus:

"Kimberly, wake up!" Leo yelled as he shook me awake.

The urgency in his voice worried me.

"What happened?" I asked, alert.

"We need to get to your office."

Hearing that there was an emergency, I jumped out of bed ignoring the major headache from the hangover. I had to squint as I ran to my office, my eyes not being able to take the pain from the turned on lights. People were gathering around the rows of the hospital beds. I pushed through the crowd.

I recognized all three injured people, Dante, Marco, and Lauretta. They were bleeding out. The white sheets were soaking red. Blood packets were the only thing unavailable to me. Stopping the bleeding was crucial.

"It hurts like a bitch," Dante muttered, clutching his arm. He was bleeding the most out of the three.

"What happened?" I asked, trying to remove his hand from his wound.

"Ambush." The seventeen-year-old said through his gritted teeth.

"No, what happened to your arm?"

"I got shot," I told Leo who was beside me to put pressure on Dante's bullet wound. I would have mistaken it for a stabbing wound, the bullet deeply grazed his biceps.

I checked up on the others. Lauretta was stabbed in the leg, and Marco was hit on the head with a brick. All of them needed stitches.

"What happened?" Matteo asked, barely entering the room. He must also have been woken up by one of the members. Matteo was shirtless, but no one acknowledged it.

"We found a suspicious guy," Lucas informed him, "Lauretta, Dante, Marco, Jaime, and I followed the dude."

"We lost him, and we divided into two groups." Jaime jumped in, "Then they were attacked."

They talked some more as I gathered the things I needed. I cleaned Dante's wound and mended it. I repeated the steps same steps on Lauretta in a shorter time because her stab wasn't as bad as Dante's. I was finished with all of them when I applied a piece of tape to secure Marco's bandage around his head.

"Kimberly." Someone said as they shook my shoulders. I woke up, blinking trying to remember what happened and where I was.

Seeing my surroundings, I realized I had fallen asleep right after I told the patients to get their rest.

"Huh?" I asked as I yawned.

"Here." Matteo handed me a cup of water and Advil.

"Thanks," I said, accepting the water and popping the pills in my mouth.

"You manage to do all of that under a hangover. " He gave me a small smile, "I'm impressed."

I bit my lip at the compliment and the nice gesture, killing the butterflies that flew in my stomach.

I shrugged.

"Anyways, I'm here to get you to the meeting."

Matteo walked me to the conference room which was near the library. The was quite a few people already sitting down at the table.

"Okay, everyone is here," Matteo said to the man standing by the white board. He was older than most of the members I've seen that lived here. He also looked familiar, I've seen those green eyes somewhere.

I turned over to Matteo and looked back at the man speaking. They must be related somehow.

"Stollo." He said as he held an envelope. Inside there was a letter, the man read it out loud.

"Il Segreto, by the time you read this letter, a few of your members must have been attacked. Your suspicions must have landed on me, and you are correct. Reece always found it fun in games to ambush people, torture but not kill. If I run into one of your members, big or small, they will pay. If you don't believe me, then look at the injured group that walked into my trap.

But of course, you can stop this. Bring your best men to me, and I'll consider it fair."

"You did try to tell him it wasn't us, right?" Someone asked.

"Yes, but he's Stollo. He can't find the real suspect and needs to blame someone for the murders of his men. Unfortunately, that's us." The man sighed.

"What are we going to do?" I asked.

"Isn't it obvious?" The man answered my question an evil smile formed on his lips. "Give him our best men, with backup of course."

It took me awhile to figure out what he meant, "Attack?"

He nodded, "Tonight. So get your rest, this early morning was eventful."

People murmured in agreement. With that, the meeting was dismissed.

"Does this happen often?" I asked Matteo.

"Honestly, no." He said after giving it some thought, "but when it does, we give them hell."
