A/N:

Hey guys! Really sorry I haven't written for like the past four days or so! I was busy over the weekend because my friend and I had to film a video for our channel and I had a lot of homework and shows to watch yesterday, so I couldn't find the time to write. Sorry! But, I have time to write today so let’s get to it! Here's Chapter 11 of It Wasn't Just a Drunken Night!

(I don't even know why I called it that; it practically has nothing to do with the story line... whatever too late now)

*Dan's POV*

Phil and I sat at the practically empty restaurant in a comfortable silence while waiting for our waiter or waitress to come and take our order. This was mine and Phil’s favorite restaurant to go and hang out at when we weren’t in the mood to eat at home and we haven’t been there in such a long time that I decided to take him here.

We held hands across the table as we honestly weren’t ashamed of our love for one another. Our waitress came and took our order, looking at our hands for a second. We noticed and cleared our throats, causing her to fall out of her trance. “Oh sorry for staring!” her cheeks turned a light shade of pink, “I was just thinking how brave you two are and how I wish I could do the same with my girlfriend.”

We both look up at her and widened our eyes. She looked down and tried to hide her embarrassment but we didn’t mind one bit. “It’s okay,” I smiled at her, “You shouldn’t be ashamed of your love for one another. If people can’t see past your gender to realize you two love each other, you should just show those people that you don’t care.” She smiled before turning around and heading to the kitchen to get our food for us.

Phil and I just talked about everything and anything through our whole meal, separating ourselves away from the world around us. We reminisced through all the memories we shared since we first met, avoiding the topic of Jenna, and since we first became a couple. Suddenly, the subject of Charlie was brought into our conversation, as it was bound to eventually.

“I just don’t have a good feeling about him, Phil,” I mumbled while slowly eating my meal, trying to keep as much time as I could here with him as I could. “I know Dan, I don’t have a good feeling either. But, I feel like he’s changed, besides it’s only a week, so we just have to deal with him for that long and then he’s out,” Phil replied calmly, trying to calm my uneasiness.

“I don’t know about that Phil. If he’s going all the way to America with his ‘mates’, then shouldn’t he have enough money with him to stay in a motel or something?” I began to reveal my theory, “I feel like he came here on purpose. I think he’s planning something, I don’t know, I just don’t feel good about him staying with us.” Phil noticed my stress building up and lightly stroked the back of my hand with his thumb to ease me. “Okay Dan, I guess we could sit down and have a serious discussion with him when we get back to the flat,” Phil reassured me, “We’ll try to figure out as much as possible about him, okay?”

I nodded and we changed the subject to something else while we finished off the rest of our food. When the waitress came back with our tab she began a conversation with us and we happily talked back to her. We were so into the conversation that we hadn’t realized that we spent about twenty minutes talking to her. “Oh my, I didn’t even realize the time passed so fast,” she laughed, “I have to get back to work.”

We nodded before signing the tab and leaving her a big tip for how nice she was. We decided to leave her our numbers and a little note along with it.

Thank you for being so accepting and nice to us! We left you our numbers just in case you ever wanted to talk about anything that’s going on with you and your partner. Sorry if that’s weird, we just thought you might want someone to let out your feelings to if you didn’t have someone already. Thanks! J

We got back to the flat to find Charlie sitting on the sofa, watching a movie while eating some Chinese food we left over from the other day. “Enjoying yourself?” Phil cleared his throat as we walked into the room. Charlie choked on the noodles and sat himself up before looking at the two of us standing in front of us. “Oh hey,” he looked rather embarrassed, “Sorry, I got hungry and this was all you guys had left over.”

We both shrugged our shoulders, showing him we honestly didn’t care that he was eating our left overs. “Look, we kind of need to talk about something,” I sighed, sitting myself down on the sofa with Phil next to Charlie. He looked at us with confusion but then seemed to realize what we were about to say.

“If you’re going all the way to America, shouldn’t you have enough money to stay in a motel for a week or something?” I began with the questions as we surveyed Charlie carefully. Charlie sighed and looked down at the ground, “My mate is the one who’s carrying all the money, he has a job that pays really well and he agreed that I could live with him at no charge.”

“Who even is this ‘mate’ you keeping mentioning,” I questioned him, feeling a little nervous for him. “Sam,” Charlie blurted around as turned to Phil to see if he recognized who Charlie was talking about. Phil’s eyes widened with anger and disappointment as he glared at Charlie. “Sam‽ That joking slag you used to hang around with while we were still friends‽”

“So you’re telling me, that jokester somehow managed to get a job that pays well and now you’re going to live with him,” Phil calmed down, “What did he even get a job as?” Charlie looked up at us with an unreadable expression, “I don’t know, he won’t tell me. But, I guess it’s something good if he’s getting paid so much.”

“So you’re going to live with a guy who used to be some dumb rebel and still might be and you don’t even know what he’s working as?” Phil shook his head in disapproval as he stared at Charlie with disappointment. Charlie nodded, “Look, I’m only staying for a week and then I’ll be out of your hair and you don’t have to worry about me anymore.” I looked over at Phil and he simply shrugged before I looked back over at Charlie, his staring giving me an uneasy feeling. “Okay fine, you can stay with us,” I sighed, “But, one week and then you’re out.”
