Chapter 16

The Oni's black beady eyes darkened as it hissed, "YoU... WOn't... ESc... aPe..."

Japan shifted his Tachi and darted at the Oni slashing its side. China smacked Steve with his wok. Russia dashed up behind the gray monster and his pipe meet the creature's arm with a sickening crack.

The creature hissed and forced China against a wall. Before he could land a deadly blow on the Chinese, a quick-footed Japanese male slashed at it distracting it from China.

China's wok came in contact with the Alien-like creature's arm the same one that Russia hit.

Russia went to hit the Oni but stopped when he heard a loud ticking noise.

(It's a mysterious ticking noise? Hmmm, it's kinda catching.
Moonlight, stop, please.
Oh, I'll get back to the story.)

Russia- who was still staring in the general direction of the clock, was swatted at the wall on the opposite side of the room.

"Russia!" China called out worriedly.

Russia's head raised slowly, and innocent smile was plastered on his face, he stood up, a white-knuckled grip on his pipe he ran towards the gray Alien-like creature and attacked.

Before the creature could attack Japan sliced the creature's sides, quickly. He jumped back to stand near China as Russia continued to beat the Oni.

Steve swiped at China, but the country rolled out of the way then attacked the Oni.

Steve's eyes flashes, "dIE!"

He swatted Russia and China sending both flying into Japan.

Russia growled to himself, this creature was annoying him.

Russia darted forward and attacked the creature with his pipe.

China got off of Japan and helped him up, then joined Russia

"YoU... WOn't... ESc... aPe..." It hissed.

China- with help from Russia, brought down a powerful blow onto the gray monster's head.

Japan shifted his grip on his Tachi he bolted toward the Oni, he moved quickly as if a fire was lit under him.

"dIE!" It growled bearing its teeth.

Russia shook his head, "I don't really feel like it, sorry."

China smacked the back of Russia's head, "Don't say sorry to this monster."

Russia blinked, "The girls named him Steve."

Japan appeared behind them, "We don't have time to talk."

China laughed a little, "Right."

Russia threw his pipe up and caught he darted toward Steve ready to attack.

China followed, both nations moving quickly till they got tired. They fell back to stand by Japan, breathing heavily.

Japan felt a wave of energy crash down on him, he darted forward and slashed the creature's sides, arms, and stomach.

China joined Japan with his Wok, Russia soon joined his pipe hitting the gray creature's flush with much force.

The Oni began to fade.

China frowned, "We won't lose a second time! But it's weird that it disappears like that...We can't tell whether we won or not."

"Well, at least it won't pollute the environment." Japan shrugged.

Russia tilted his head to the side thoughtfully "Not quite~ Maybe this will never end and it'll keep appearing. It's getting really tiring..."

Russia walked over to the cabinets in the corner of the room.

"You're not hurt, are you?" China asked Japan.

Japan blinked, "No, your backup was perfect. Our opponent has also grown stronger compared with before. I would have no chances had I fought alone. Thank you very much for your help."

"Oh! By the way, why were those clothes smeared with tomato?! I thought it was blood," China sent a glare at Japan for scaring him.

Japan face flushed out of embarrassment, "Well you see, sometime after I woke up this morning, we encountered that creature yet again... Italy had just been waking up and was quite surprised; he began yelling at it to get away and throwing at it to make it go away, but they ended up hitting me in the back instead. After we defeated it, the smell was really bothering me, so I threw it into the fireplace."

China nodded, "Oh if I remember correctly, you had a change of clothes because you were staying at Germany's place the day before right?"

Russia hummed, "Ah."

"What is the matter, Russia?" Japan looked over at the Russian nation.

Russia looked at the other two nations innocently, "Um, there was this clock that was moving like crazy...I'm sorry. The tick-tock was too loud, so I broke it with my pipe."

Japan blinked, "A clock?"

Japan walked over to Russia by the cabinets in the far left corner of the room.

Russia looked back at the clock, "I'm sorry if it was some kind of clue, but it really was so loud..."

"A clock...Now that you mention it, we can't tell what time it is in this place," Japan looked at his watch, "Our watches are all out of synchrony."

China frowned, "They're really strange. Even though we came here ahead of Japan's group, they've been here longer. By the way...it's 11:42 on my watch."

Russia looked at his watch then China's, "Huh? But mine is showing the same time as yours, China."

"What? That wasn't supposed to..Oh! I-it's 11:42 on mine, too! But it was 6:00 just a moment ago..." Japan muttered.

"Do you think maybe it's because I broke the clock?" Russia pondered.

China nodded, "That's possible. At least in this room, the time is right. Maybe we can get the flow of time back to normal if we break the clocks."

Japan looked down, "Then we'll break the clocks in every single room we get in. If we do that, maybe... Maybe... we can help... France and... America... Right?"

They jumped when the phone rang.

China pointed at Russia, "Russia, it's your cellphone."

Russia smiled curiously, "Amazing~as soon as the time right, the phone also began to work-or not. The antenna isn't up. Anyway, I'm going to answer it. And I'll make it so that the both of you can hear it, too... Who is it?"
