Germany picked up his friend, "He's severely injured! Hurry up!!"
Prussia stood up, his eyes still glued to the wall.
"Prussia come on," (Y/n)'s voice called out to him pulling him back to reality.
He looked over to the door where she stood, he was the last in the room, "Right. I'm coming." He watched as she left the room. He walked over to the wall and collected the object.
Hiding the object from sight he raced after the group.
He slowed to a walk when he rejoined the group. And cast one last look at the familiar object.
An arrow.
Somewhere in the mansion stood a figure. Bow strapped to their body and a quiver resting against the wall. The figure's eyes watched calmly and yet longingly at the group as they tended to their injured friend. The nervous chatter from the group kept the figure from going insane in the silence.
Therefrom the shadowed corner, the figure watched. Stifling a gasp when a wave of darkness crashed over the figure's vision.
Italy stood in the hall surrounded by many people- no surrounded by his friends.
The group stood by the window looking down into the front yard.
"To the me... To the me who lives at some point in time... and who isn't alone..."
He looked around with a smile on his face at each person. His shoulders slowly relaxing as his smile was returned with smiles and nods.
The scene faded from the figure's vision and a soft sigh came from their lips. The blind spot was approaching, the point in time where no one knew what was bound to happen next. But... Just like everyone else the figure knew that they had to keep going.
The group quickly fled the room and made a mad dash for the safe room. The figure watched with thoughtful eyes until yet another sigh came from them. They picked up their quiver and walked off still unseen by the group. And yet purposely forgetting to collect that arrow.
~(Y/n)'s P.O.V~
Nervously everyone gathered around Italy as he was laid down on an open bed.
Germany frowned, "He's covered in injuries..."
"He fought alone. It's only natural, " France said softly.
Canada shifted to get a better look at his injured friend, "I heard that it was much bigger than before, but...he wasn't surprised at all, was he?"
"You mean he already knew? Or..." Russia trailed off.
"We should think..." China thought over his words, choosing them carefully, "That he's already seen it many times over."
Japan nodded, "I agree. That would explain his emotional strength and why he has got used to fighting. I don't think it's something he had from the very beginning."
"It feels like something that had accumulated and then finally took shape," America stood tall and spoke seriously, "But we can't really be sure. We have to hear it from his own mouth."
"What can we do, then?" Prussia asked looking about, "We can't just demand that he tells us everything as soon as he wakes up. Do you really think he would tell us just like that?"
England thought for a second then spoke, "Well... if we don't ask him, we'll never know, will we? I think we should at least try to interrogate him even if it proves to be fruitless."
France sent a small glare in England's direction, "I disagree. If we all approach him when he's already so weary, he'll only feel cornered."
China furrowed his eyebrows, "So, you want us to keep going like this, with us in the dark and only him in danger? I think we should interrogate him."
"But... have you seen his face?" Russia looked at China, "I don't think he'll tell us anything that easily. Why don't we wait a little before we try asking him?"
"'A little?'" Canada repeated, "How long do we have to wait, exactly? We don't have much time left. If it's the only way, even if we have to be a little overbearing-"
America turned to Italy's brother suddenly, "Romano, you know something, don't you? Can't you tell us?"
"Roma?" Spain questioned.
Romano frowned and looked away from everyone, just to watch his brother, "...I do know. I don't know everything, but I know more than you do."
"Then..." Prussia started to press.
Romano cur him off, "But, knowing the truth, I also understand my brother's decision. I can't just tell you something that he's so desperate to hide."
England clenched his fists in anger and snapped, "But this isn't only about him! Other people's lives are at stake! What are we supposed to do now?"
Romano kept a calm voice, "... Sorry. I don't know, either."
"Go easy on him." Spain stepped in, "I don't know what to do, either, but you're being too harsh on Romano. Give him a break."
"Potato Head," Romano finally tore his gaze from his brother and focused it on Germany, "what do you think? Should we interrogate him, or wait for him to talk when he's ready? I want your opinion."
Germany was quiet.
"Germany?" Japan whispered.
"I... I... just want him to wake up first." Germany said uncharacteristically soft, he blinked a few times to hide his tears, "More to interrogate him or to wait... more than anything, I want him to wake up. And then, if he wants to talk, I will listen, and if he doesn't want to talk, I won't ask him anything. I think we should try trusting him."
"He's right." I finally joined in, "Instead of pressing him or not pressing him for answers we should just trust him. As far as I know, Italy has always tried to put you guys first, right?" Everyone nodded and mumbled in agreement. So I went on, "Then... We should trust him. He's clearly trying to help us and/or keep us safe."
Prussia closed his red eyes and nodded, "...Yeah. Even Italy has learned a thing or two, right? When he wakes up, his opinion will be important."
"Indeed..." Japan added, "Let's wait for him to wake up."
"...Hm? Oh. W-wait!" Germany lifted his head to look at Italy's face.
Japan glanced toward the injured nation as well, "...?"
"...He's going to wake up." Romano whispered softly.
I'm late! Guys! I'm so late! But... I kinda don't mind because you guys don't get really mad or mad at all. I don't have an excuse this time. I was just lazy. My cousin lives with me now, if you find that cool.
