Chapter 29

"You idiots!! Why did you come back?!" Germany snapped.

Prussia glanced back at his brother with a pained smile, "You want to know why I came back? Because... I can't think of a reason why I wouldn't help my little brother!"

The first person... Well, nation to attack was Japan, I recognized the move as Dismissal. His katana hit the large gray creature harshly, causing cuts the form on its skin.

Italy was next striking the currently bleeding Steve, he moved quickly and I wasn't able to see his weapon... I look over to a nearby shadow... Maybe... Maybe I could use the shadows to make a weapon to help them with. Prussia attacked next his sword leaving deep gashes like Japan's Katana. Germany's whip came down on Steve aggressively, with each crack a slash was left on the creature's body. Japan attacked it again with his Katana using a different move. Italy attacked next, quickly followed by Prussia, his sword flashed dangerously as it slashed and cut the black-eyed oni. Germany almost didn't wait for Prussia to finish before he used Torture Lv. 30.

My eyes shifted back to stare at the shadow, I can help... I know I can... How can I help though...

All to quickly the Oni growled and approached, "YoU... WOn't... ESc... aPe..."

The fighting just seemed to repeat itself, a rinse and repeat as you will.

"dIE!" Steve snarled.

Once again Japan attacked, Italy attacked, Prussia attacked, and then Germany attacked him, Steve again retaliated, "YoU... WOn't... ESc... aPe..."

I... I have to do something... What do I do?

My thinking stopped when text flashed across my gaze.

Japan's party was victorious!
2EXP were received!
100 HETA were obtained!
Onigiri was found!
Hot Peeper was found!

With the last blow delivered Steve was forced back, Japan nodded his head, staring at the creature.

"Let's just get out of here!" Prussia yelled, "We can't physically defeat it!"

Germany glanced at Italy, "Italy? You look pale. Are you all right?"

"Eheheh," Italy laughed, "I'm fine. C'mon, let's go back."

As they were talking my eyes shifted to Steve he was getting close to them again. Without thinking, I darted forward grabbing Prussia's and Italy's hands the getting a fist full of Germany's and Japan's sleeves. I close my eyes and felt Steve's shadow fall over us. Alright, I thought letting out air, I can do this.

"(Y/n)!" I heard Prussia yell as I opened my eyes, I took on my shadow form managing to take them with me. Prussia's voice echoed through the darkness, "What the hell?"

"What's happening?" Italy said nervously.

"(Y/n) what the hell?!" Germany yelled.

"What did-" Japan trailed off.

"Oh, so now you notice me," I grumbled bitterly, "Thanks."

With that they went silent for a few seconds, then they went back to questions.

"Gah!" I yelped as my shadow form gave out. When I looked up I noticed that we were in the next move. I frowned, my head spinning as I heard the other stand up.

I put my hands over my eyes, "Oh, good... Everything is spinning," I suddenly lifted my head up, "Wait... I've never done that before! I brought others into my shadow form!" I jumped to my feet, "Hah! Oh, my gosh! I did it!"

I dropped back down to my knees as the world began to spin more, "Oh, bad idea... Bad idea."

Prussia picked me up, "Good job, Frau!" He carried me out of the room and down the hall, quickly meeting with Russia.

"Prussia," I whispered, "You can put me down."

Prussia looked down at me, "To be completely honest I forgot that I was carrying you."

Russia blinked, "Oh, you're back. What's the matter?"

"We can't use that exit! It's been burnt out!" Japan shook his head, "We have to run now!"

"I see," Russia said lowering his head to look down, "Good thing you found me. Let's hurry. The others should be back soon now."

I pushed myself out of Prussia's arms and followed Italy, Japan, and Germany down the hall. Prussia and Russia standing on either side of me.

When we ran into France, Japan didn't take another second to explain.

"Oh, so we can't use it anymore? Too bad. Let's just get away now,"  France joined us. We left the hall to entire into the room with the large table, we head toward China who was on the left side of the table by the door.

Japan tried to open the door, "It won't open. Let's find some other door!" Then he explained everything to China.

China's brown eyes widened in surprise, "Really?! Let's hurry!"

China joined our party as we left the room going into another hallway, we stumbled upon Canada. And once again Japan filled him in.

"I-I see. That's too bad," Canada frowned, "Anyway, let's hurry. America and England are in that room over there."

England growled when we explained the situation to him, America, and Destiny, "You can't be serious! Just when we thought we were finally going to get out..." We were all in a room together having a meeting.

China suddenly turned around, "Lock the door!!"

Japan nodded while I locked the door.

America looked around, "Wow. So, now we're all assembled in this tiny room."

Germany frowned and nearly punched the wall, "Damn it! Even though we're all together here, our situation hasn't got any better! Now we're locked up in here and that fucking monster is after our asses!"

"West," Prussia sighed, "don't be so pessimistic. What matters is that we're alive. Besides with so many nations gone, maybe someone will come to rescue us."

Nodding in agreement China spoke up, "Besides, we still need to connect the time we spend here with the time in the outside world. We have to keep breaking the clocks."

"Yeah, that's the best short-cut," Russia muttered, "Except we'll need our strength somehow... You'll probably agree with me, but... we're quite tired. Not from fighting the enemy, but running away all the time."
