"He's right." I finally joined in, "Instead of pressing him or not pressing him for answers we should just trust him. As far as I know, Italy has always tried to put you guys first, right?" Everyone nodded and mumbled in agreement. So I went on, "Then... We should trust him. He's clearly trying to help us and/or keep us safe."

Prussia closed his red eyes and nodded, "...Yeah. Even Italy has learned a thing or two, right? When he wakes up, his opinion will be important."

"Indeed..." Japan added, "Let's wait for him to wake up."

"...Hm? Oh. W-wait!" Germany lifted his head to look at Italy's face.

Japan glanced toward the injured nation as well, "...?"

"...He's going to wake up." Romano whispered softly.

With a soft groan, Italy stirred and began to wake.

Russia blinked, "Oh. He's awake."

England stepped a little closer, "Are you okay? Hey."

Japan sighed softly, "I'm so relieved. Italy, do you know where you are?"

I gave him a sad smile, knowing full well that he didn't remember what was going on.

Italy looked around his eyes slightly wide, "..."

Romano placed his hands on his brother's shoulders, "?! H-hey...Veneziano?"

China tilted his head, "What's wrong?"

I frowned, "Oh, Italy..." I whispered.

"Italy? What's the matter?" Prussia asked.

Italy's lips moved but the only thing we heard was, "...are..."

Germany furrowed his eyebrows, "I'm sorry, Italy. I couldn't hear you. Can you say that again?"

Italy repeated what he had said, "Who...are...you?"

Germany's body stiffened, "?!"

I closed my eyes softly, and let everyone speak.

"Ita... ly?"

Making my way back to the place I was meant to be, something flashed across my vision.

Every First Player in the mansion was standing in a circle around Italy.

Italy's voice echoed in my head, "The only thing I remember vividly, to the point I can't breathe, is when we first came here. Even while everyone was trying to think of a way to escape, I did nothing to help... I had to be protected like an idiot... Meanwhile, everyone else was getting hurt. And I was all alone. One after the other, they lost their lives right before my eyes."

The next time I knew I was standing in the piano room before me were two people. Italy and Japan. The latter lying on the floor covered in blood while the former sat next to him.

Japan let out a pained laugh, "Huhu... I'm sorry. It looks like this is the end for me."

Italy flinched, "D-don't say that! Wait just a minute! I'll make bandages out of this flag and stop the bleeding!"

I took a step closer to Japan who was still lying on the floor next to the piano, my eyes glanced to his sword which was covered in blood.

Japan shook his head, "No... no, it's hopeless. There is no time? Please, just leave me here and go to the others. Fortunately, they've forgotten... that I came here. Please, leave me..."

Italy gasped, "Of course I can't do that! Just-I'll make bandages right now! Please!"

Japan interrupted, "Italy."

"Wh-what?" Italy asked his eyes filling with tears.

Japan sighed, "You don't have your white flag anymore, do you? You have already used all of it to make bandages for everyone else."

"No-I-I do!! L-look! I just made it! I'll help you right now!! No... No, Japan!! I'll do anything!! I'll do anything!! Just hold on a little longer!"  Italy looked around.

Japan let out a pain smiled, "Italy, you are very kind. But even though my eyes are dulled, I know that you are lying. It is so...frustrating. Till the end, I wanted us to get...out...together..."

With that, I watched the light fade from Japan's eyes.

I was back looking at the circle, and I watched as Japan slowly fades out of the circle around Italy.

Another scene:

In the fireplace room with Prussia, Italy, Russia, France, and China the latter three are covered in blood and mortally wounded sitting against the wall.

China gave a sad smile, "Sorry. This is where I fall."

"I'm glad we could make..." Russia took in a breath, "a new breach at least."

"Come now, Italy, don't cry; just go," France tried to cheer him up, "If you stay here, that monster is going to show up again."

Italy frowned, "But..."

France looked at Prussia, "Prussia, will you take care of Italy? He's fast on his feet, but it's hard to fight that monster."

"I know." Prussia nodded, "I'll do it."

France's eyes close and he released his last breath.

"France?" Italy whispered only to be met with no answer.

Russia tried to get them to leave, "Quickly. Don't let our efforts be in vain. Really, you're so slow on the uptake."

"If you stay here, you're only going to get in the way. Just get away, quickly." China tried to help Russia.

Prussia placed his hand on Italy, "Let's go, Italy. Let's get out of here."

Prussia and Italy go to leave the room but Italy stops for a second before deciding to follow the albino.

China laughed, "You really are perfect for the role of villain."

"You're quite the actor, yourself." Russia complimented.

China tried to push himself up off the floor, "I have to find... Japan... quickly. While I got all sluggish here... I forgot again..."

After that sentence, China's eyes closed and he also took his last breath.

"... China?" Russia asked, when he didn't get an answer he let out a laugh, "Haa... Even in this place... I'm all alone yet again..."

And with that Russia also breathed his last breath.

I blinked and saw the circle around Italy once more and watched as Russia, China, and France faded.

"Hey!" A voice pulled me from my space out. My eyes slowly trailed to look at the source of the voice.

"I- Uh- sorry I just..."

"What did you see?" He asked.

I frowned sent him a glare and stormed passed him, "Not telling."

He growled but didn't press the matter.
