"Well, I have had such an amazing day with you. " Ethan said as he put on his sweatshirt to go.
"Yeah, if you like going to the ER, and spending the day with a couple six year olds who are complaining."
"I do, as long as your there with me." I smiled and looked down. He put his hand softly on my chin and lifted my head up. He leaned in and our noses just touched. All I could think was 'How is this happening.' The boy I have been in love with for almost ever, was about to kiss me. I looked into his eyes and then I heard the car door slam. Ethan pulled back because he had heard it too.
"Oh, hi hunny! How were the kids?" my mom said walking up the pathway to the door.
"Just. . . fine, mom."
"And how were you sweetie?" She said looking at me. "I hope you guys were able to hang out or whatever you kids call it, while watching Aaron and Josh." She said directed at Ethan. Before Ethan had a chance to respond Paul zipped by knocking me into Ethan. Thankfully he caught me.
"Umm, yes ma'am. The boys were very fun to spend time with."
"Good, and sorry for him, the meeting didn't go to well. Brooklyn, finish up here, and then come on inside." She said then walked in and closed the door.
"Well, I better get going. I had a great time with you Brooklyn. I'll text you tonight."
"You promise?"
He laughed. "Yeah. . . yeah I promise." He hugged me and then started walking away. Despite all the shit that happened today, it turned out to be an amazing one.
