First day of 7th grade. I thought to myself as I walked through the halls of Palm Middle. It'll be fine, Serafina! I've got Jyla and Jackson. No one will find out. I'll be fine. i walked to the office and asked for my schedule and locker number. Same one as last year. Good. I looked up and saw Jackson walking towards me with that lopsided limp that he always had. His crutches were a different color that last year.
"Hey Sera! Good to see you again!" He said.
"Good to see you too Jackson. Hey, have you seen Jyla around anywhere?" i asked him. He shook his head.
"No i don't think i have" All of a sudden i felt hand go over my eyes, and i smiled.
"Really Jyla? i know its you." She laughed and took her hands of my face.
After she hugged me she said, "You've gotten better Fish Face." i rolled my eyes.
"Really? And don't call me Fish Face."
she laughed again. "Yeah, Yeah. Whatever. Lets just get to class."
"What class do you have first Sera?" Jackson asked me.
"umm. lets see. I've got, History first." i responded. while putting my stuff in my locker. They looked at their schedules.
"Oh. we don't. i guess we'll see you at lunch then?" Jyla asked.
"Yup. see ya!" I turned and walked off, trying to find my way around. After about 10 minutes i finally made it. And just before class started too. As it started I thought. I made it this far. Now to go through the rest of the day without being discovered.
