Bel's P.O.V:

"You can't just give up!" I sneered, slamming the yellow note on the officer's desk.

"What do you expect us to do? We have been searching for about 2 months now, and still no progress" He shook his head, his eyes filled disappointment and sadness.

"So what? Your just going to give up?!" I growled, my knuckles turned pale as I noticed my firmness on the paper in my hand.

"Actually, we were intending to keep on track with this big, continues and endless case.." A voice spoke from behind me, making me turn my full attention to them, it was the FBI agent that we met a few days earlier, Devon.

"Thank God you're here!" I thank him repeatedly, forcing a tight smile before taking a seat.

"Any updates?" Devon asked the officer, who nodded slightly, passing the yellow note to Devon and slumped down in his seat.

"As usual. The hand writing is printed, that's why we can't identify who it is" Devon muttered lowly, yet curiously, he held on a soft smile that was filled with happiness yet sadness too, as he opened his suitcase, pulling out a few papers, pinned together as 'IMPORTANT' was stamped in red at the top.

"I have good news and bad news..." Devon trailed off, not daring to look me in the eye. What's wrong?

"What's the good news?" I asked curiously, wanting to hear something that would make me at least, smile.

"We found who the murder is.." Devon trailed off once again, shaking his head rapidly as he took a seat beside the officer.

"Really? Who is he?.." I asked, curiousness was obvious in my tone, shifting my legs uncomfortably as I tapped my fingers on the wooden table, waiting for a name to be spoken.

"It's a she" Devon confirmed, his face fell with sadness as he shifted from his place to the window seat.

"And who may this women be?" I asked once again. Not really wanting to wait any longer.

"You see, those 4 men that had murderd your parents and friends are actually told to do so. There's this women who is telling them what to do and when to do. I'm actually surprised and I don't know how to say this b-but.." Devon stuttered a bit, making my whole body frozen as I gave him a questioning look, not really knowing who she is.

"Can you please just tell me who she is?" I ask, my tone as polite as ever, my arms wrapped around my stomach as it twitched, a bad feeling swarming in my stomach.

"It's your mother" He spoken, without hesitation or stuttering. I froze, every bone in my body just froze as his 3 words just kept repeating itself in my mind. It's my mother, but how?

"W-what? But h-how?" I asked, stuttering, trying to spill word after word as my eyes went wide, the blood was utterly drained out of my face as my shaky hands were trembling uncontrollably, but seriously, how?

"Should I always be the guy holding the bad news?" He sighed deeply before his eyes looked with mine, there was a brief minute where I wanted to read his face, understand his eyes, and just know what he meant by my mother. She died. 6 years ago, she did. What? Have she came back to life or something?...

"My suspicion is that your mother isn't your 'real' mother. She's your step-mom. She never wanted to tell you the tragic truth, knowing that you'll be hurt and all. So she stayed quite. For a long time, she did. And so have your dad. Your real mother have abounded you for 3 years. When she came back, your father was already married and expecting a baby on the way. He couldn't just leave her and go crawling back to your mom, after all, she is the one who left you behind. Not him." He explained, exhaling deeply as it came out as a muffled sigh. He gave me time to process, taking a sip of his own scrumptious coffee, leaving me mindless with unexpected thoughts and truths that should've been told.

"But why would my own mother do such a horrible thing to myself?" I asked, blankly yet curiously. My mind was blurry as it clouded itself with plenty of nonetheless questions.

"That's for you to be patient about and for us to find out" He replied, a soft smile planted on his lips as he continued drinking his coffee.

Now CAN this day get any worse?
