Bel's P.O.V

"leave them alone!" I shouted as I saw them holding my parents back.

"And what are you gonna do about it, huh?" The one with black mask spoke as he held the knife to my dad's neck.

"Please!" my mom's ear-pierce scream echoed through the dead streets.

"Shut up, woman!" One of them spoke, re-connecting his palm with my mother's cheek repeatedly.

"Stop, I'm begging you here!" I whisper/scream as my mother let out silent sobs.

"Can't do, only one can leave alive" He spoke, leaving an annoying laugh escape his lips. From his voice, I think his in the middle 40s.

"Then kill us don't kill her, she's young" My dad spoke while a few tears streamed down his face.

"Ok, my pleasure" One spoke as I felt two arms drag me away.

"No, please stop!" I spoke as I saw the kinfe get stabbed into my dad's chest.

He winced in pain and fell to the floor, he called my name so I ran to him and hugged him, crying on his shoulders.

"I remember when you were 4, and you always used to hug me because you were scared" He softly chuckled, and I flinched. It's not that it's a bad memory but it just hurt me a lot to see my dad, dying in front of me.

I whimper, "Just remember that we'll always be beside you, forever" He spoke. I didn't wanna leave my dad now, not ever.

I nodded as I kissed his cheek and stayed in his embrace for a while before I got dragged by one of the 3 men.

"No, please!" I pleaded. But non of that ever helped.

And that was the last time I ever saw them. My parents death.

I shot up, breathing heavily and closing my eyes for a while. These nightmares started scaring me for a while now. I don't know what to do. Their scream and heartbreaking cry's are still fresh in my mind. It's because of me. The blame have to be on me. I allowed them to die so easily when I could've saved them. But no, I'm too selfish. Why couldn't I die?

I shook my head and looked over to the clock.

6:30 a.m

Better start waking for work.

I got up and walked towards the bathroom, brushing my teeth and face while I lazily approached to my wardrobe. No, I'm not a girly girl nor am I a tomboy.

I'm a normal girl in a normal world and have a normal job. Well, not really. You see, my parents owned this bakery downtown. And since I'm 19, I started owning it. From 8:00-1:00 p.m, I'm at college and from 1:00-10:00 p.m, I'm at the bakery working my ass off.

After I got dressed, I started walking down the streets as I reached Starbucks. I always get some on Sunday's, Tuesday's and Thursday's. And today is Thursday.

I ordered my usual order, peanut butter stack and caramel mocha.

As I reached the college, I parked the car and went off to my first class. Biology. Ugh.

As I took my seat, I felt someone's gaze on me. I shook the feeling at first, but it just kept growing. I titled my head to see if anyone was staring at me, only to luck eyes with bright blue eyes, his gaze burned through my skin. I shifted uncomfortably and when he noticed, he turned his stare to his desk while his cheeks turned rosy, cute.

The professor came in and gave us the same boring lecture. After what felt like infinity but is 6 hours in reality, I started walking to the bakery. I felt someone watching me but when I turned, no one was there. Creepy.

I entered the bakery, the smell of fresh baken cupcakes filled my nostrils. I gave a weak smile for the refresh as I went to Ben, the main baker, in the kitchen.

"Hi" I casually spoke as I started getting ready to bake some cupcakes.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked with a smile.

"Pretty good" I spoke, not even taking a glance at him.

After I baked a few cupcakes, I went to help Ana, the baker assistant, to serve the customers. Usually, Mila and Havi would be here but their having a celebration dinner becuase their father's promotion and Chad, Mila's big brother graduated from high school. I started looking for new assistants since Ben is gonna retire and Ana will be gone for the next 4 months on a vacation. She's in her middle 20s.

A familiar guy came to the register while his eyes examine the cupcakes for a bit before he talked.

"I'd like a red velvet cupcake please" He spoke as I fake smiled and nodded. I gave him his order while he pay for it, and the next thing suprised me.

"I heard your looking for new assistants to work here" He spoke, his lips formed a smirk and his eyes sparkled.

"Yeah, would you like to work here?" I asked, not really sure of what I'm saying. I really need him since no one really applied for work here.

"Yeah, that'd be great!" He spoke, sharing a small smile. I nod and brought out the papers for him to sign. After a few moments, he finished and looked at me, his lips painted a smile.

"Welcome, when would you like to start working?" I asked causally, yeah I'm not really that smiley or bubbly if I may say. Well, I was but that change. Changed big time. All becuase of the death. That damn death. Why couldn't I die? It would be less painful and bitter than my life right now.

"Tommorow would be good" He spoke and I for the first time, noticed his accent. It's Irish but I thought it would be thicker. Well, since he's in England I think he started learning the british accent.

"Ok, thanks for applying" I spoke, smiling. God, was I smiling?!?!

"It's ok babe" He spoke with a smirk, I was taken back at first but then I just fake smiled and turned around.

"See you tommorow at colloge campus" He shouted making me turn awkwardly.

"Hope not..." I whispered as I continued my daily boring routine.
