Chapter 50: You Are The One

EVELYN'S POV:

"What do you want veronica" i said trying to keep my head up

I was exsausted, thirsty,  dizzy, and my calf was bleeding. The only thing that kept me up and talking was knowing that geoffrey hadn't cheated. All of this was a lie, a scam, a trick, and even if she shoot's me right here, i'll die knowing my love never betrayed me.

"Funny you ask that now, i mean it's obious" she looked at me with pity as she paced back a forth with a gun" "Royce knows i was never pregnant and now he wants to go back to you. But guess what" she said bending down, "that's not going to happen!" and slapped her cold, hard, and frivioulous hand against my face

I blew my hair out of my face and confidently said "Please, your pathetic"

"oh am I, umm whos the one tied up here now. yea not me"

"WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY DAUGHTER! I know your the one to blame!"

"gasps! how could you think I could do such a thing! you think I'm the straight up devil don't you?"

"Well I would be lying if I said no"

"Oh evelyn, sweet, ignorant, but clever evelyn. Just not clever enough. Since your not going to live anoher day i might as well tell you the truth right?" 

"What truth" i said i looking at her from the corner of my eye as she went around in a circle 

She started laughing uncontrollably  

"I stole your daughter"

"I KNEW IT! YOU BITCH! HOW COULD YOU! SHE WAS ALL I HAD!!"

"NO! You had ROYCE! and HER!. You had everything and so did i but the one thing YOU had That i didn't was geoffrey's respect, and his love! THAT'S NOT FAIR! i knew him first!!!!"

"BUT HE LOVES ME!! DAMIT! GET OVER IT!!! YOU LEFT WITH HIS KID AND CAME BACK 5 YEARS LATER! IT'S YOUR FAULT HE GOT OVER YOU!"

"NO! he hasn't! HE WOULDN'T BE WITH ME IF HE DIDN'T LOVE ME" She dropped on the floor crying "He wouldn't do that"

I wanted to feel bad but hell no, my compassion isn't getting the best of me 

"Just let me go veronica! Just let me go!"

"VERONICA!" i heard royce's voice come out of no where

Royce tried to run to me when he saw my bleeding leg but Veronica stood up, wiped her tears and pointed my head with a gun

"HOW DID YOU KNOW SHE WAS HERE!!!" 

"Please veronica let her go, you don't want to go to jail! Think about adam"

"He'll have his dad" she said 

"Yes he will! me." I heard a voice come in 

"Chris?"

"What the hell are you doing here!!?" she said sounding panicked

"It's over Veronica. I'm done with your blackmail. I'm taking adam"

"Wait what!?" geoffrey said

i was so confused but my leg was starting to burn like a bitch i stood silent
