Like A Broken Record Player

*Adam's pov

I watched her sleep peacefully. She looked so innocent, so vulnerable. I had no idea how to make this all okay in her head but I was willing to do anything. She turned toward me and sighed in her sleep, "Adam." I sucked in my breath and took notice, "Adam, I love you. I... I want to. I'm sure, I want you" she mumbled. I may not be in her head but I knew what she was talking about. I watched her a while longer until she woke up. "Mmm morning" she said with a smile on her lips. "Morning" I said smiling. "Did you sleep well?" She asked. I nodded and kissed her, "best I've slept in months" I admitted. It was true, the last few months with Anne I slept horribly and after she dumped me it only got worse. But since Gianna came into my life it was different, I was relaxed, happy. "And you?" I asked. "Same" she said smiling. "Come on I'll make breakfast" I said and slipped out of bed holding out my hand to her. She bit her lip staring a moment before taking my hand and leading me down to breakfast. She giggled and stopped and pressed my back to the wall. "Gi?" I asked surprised. She giggled again and kissed me long and hard. "What has gotten into my shy sweet girl?" I asked confused by the way she was acting, but I wasn’t complaining. "I realized something" she said smiling. "What was that?" I asked smiling and holding her hands. "As much as I loved, love, Keith and I was ready to say yes to him, I never felt like this. I mean it was amazing and beautiful and I was in love but it was missing something I always wanted. Something I didn't know I wanted until I met you" she said. I eyed her curiously, "Gianna babe, I love you and I get you, trust me, but I have no idea what you are talking about" I said helplessly lost. "Keith never strayed, it was almost routine, I knew what we were going to do just about every day, and if it was different it was planned in advanced. There was no mystery, no surprise" she said.

I listened, "and I'm a mystery?" I asked chuckling. She nodded, "with you I never know what to expect, I know I'm making it seem like we've been dating forever not just a day, but even when I first got here I never knew what to expect. I meet you and you give me a job then I'm meeting your mom! It's crazy! Adam I didn't think I wanted surprises in my life, I know that's crazy because I was going to be a musician but it's true, now surprises excite me, I like just going with the flow and not knowing what to expect, or planning out everything" she said and I understood, "well Gianna, I'm full of surprises" I teased. "But uh what about last night?" I asked curious to see if a good night sleep changed anything else. "Just because I like surprises doesn't change how I feel about myself" she said shyly. I kissed her, "fair enough" I chuckled. We headed into the kitchen and I made some pancakes while she poured some juice. "Think anything happened between James and Ali last night?" She asked finding the glasses. "Knowing James probably not, he looked intimidated by her awesomeness" I laughed. She giggled and stopped sipping her juice trying not to have it come out her nose. "Good point, but Ali seemed smitten, she'll go after him" she said laughing. "Speak of the devils" she smirked seeing them. "Oh, morning Gianna" Ali said getting some juice. "Good morning" she said. "Hey James" I said eyeing him. His hair was a mess, he never leaves it that way. "Oh. My. God. You two either did it or at a minimum had a very intense make out session" I accused. "What? No" he said. Gianna eyed Ali closer, "hmm... That's a lot of lip balm Ali, did you forget yours?" Gi asked, "ugh fine yes we made out, and yes I stole your baby lips" she said, "how did you know?" "It's tinted" she laughed.

We laughed and shared stacks of pancakes. "Okay well it's been nice James and Ali but we are gonna get ready cause I'm taking my girl out. Feel free to do whatever" I said putting my plate and Gianna's in the sink and led her upstairs. She laughed and sat on the bed, "so Adam where are you taking me?" She asked. "Hmm I have a voice party tonight, a sort of celebration that we finished knockouts. It's one of many... we uh like to party" I chuckled. "Hmm… okay, but I don't have a dress fancy enough for a party like that." "I'll handle that" I said and kissed her. "Now get dressed in something comfy and we can do anything you like." She smiled and pulled on a pair of jeans she bought yesterday and a shirt over her new bra and panties. She packed up the rest of her stuff while I got dressed. I packed up the car again and we headed toward LA. "So Gi, what would you like to do?" I asked. "Hmmm, arcade" she said smiling. "Okay but I gotta warn you I'm very competitive" I said glancing at her. "Game on" she said smiling.

I pulled into the lot an hour later and parked. "Air hockey?" She asked racing over. I laughed and ran up behind her. I got change and put it in the machine. After 3 games I gave up, letting Gianna win. "Haha! I win oh yea I won!' She teased dancing around. "Ya ya ya" I said shaking my head. "Aww I'm sorry I shouldn't rub it in" she said stopping, "but ya know I beat you" she laughed and I pulled her close kissing her. "You're lucky you're gorgeous" I said. She laughed and shook her head, "no I'm not," she said. "Of course you are" I said, "you are prettier than any model I've ever seen" I reassured her and kissed her. She kissed me back and looked at me, thinking. "Skee-ball?" I asked letting her think. "You're on" she laughed. We played until the alarm on my phone signaled 4:00. "Time to head home baby, we gotta get ready for the party" I reminded her kissing her deeply and with purpose. She pulled me closer, almost begging for me. I threw the idea out and walked her back to the car, she was such a turn on right now, and I can't handle it. Her shy and sweet, then hungry eager behaviors had me all over the place. This wasn't like her, then again I haven't seen in her in thought like this since we met. "Gi?" I asked as we got in the car. "Yea Adam?" She asked back. "You uh seem..." "I know I'm sorry I'm trying to let loose and be completely relaxed and just go with my feelings and I start too but then I get too nervous" she admitted blushing a deep red. I grabbed her hand, "no reason to get nervous baby, nothing you do, or say, will push me away. I love you just as you are" I said trying to get her to relax. She nodded and kissed my cheek, "so you won't laugh if I make a fool out of myself?" She asked. "Maybe but I always make a fool out of myself so feel free to laugh at me" I said and looked at her. "I'm serious" she pouted. "I'm serious too, if you can't laugh at yourself every once in a while why bother? Everyone makes mistakes and messes up, some even act silly and look like fools but you just gotta roll with it, as long as you’re happy nothing else matters" I said and pulled into the driveway.
