Chapter 8

The night was cold like last night
And the same thoughts were keeping me awake

We have only jackets to cover ourselves and tonight the cold was worse

I sat up and looked out of my window

It was so dark outside

And so quiet. The only thing you could hear was the wind

I tried to look up at the sky

I couldn't see many things but it was enough

It's such a strange place

We are literally under the water and not only the hole above us is open, but also we can see the sky which is full of stars.

Another weird thing is that both the days we are here we have not come across any kind of animal... not even a single bird

Nothing...

Nor we heard anything

I'm also curious whether there are other humans here too...

I mean we are here by accident

So many accidents have happened here... countless...

So there's a slightest possibility that someone must be alive

Or even an animal...

We should really take a look tomorrow

"Can't sleep again love?" Niklaus interrupted my thoughts

All the thinking and everything kept me from sleeping but that didn't mean I wasn't tired so I just nodded

"Me too... so what is keeping you awake? Thoughts of the place?" He sat up too

"Something like that" I whispered

"So not only thoughts?" He said trying to understand

"Cold too" I muttered and he nodded

"Ohh you are cold... yes it's a cold night indeed" he said and then he smirked

Oh god... what now?...

"So if you are cold why don't you just come here and I promise to keep you warm" he said smirking

"No I 'd rather die thanks" I said and he rolled his eyes

"Oh come on now I'm not asking to fuck you. Just to come here so I can keep you warm" He smirked again

"Unless you want me to... to fuck you I mean" He smirked and I rolled my eyes

"Not a chance thanks" I said sarcastically

"Ok have it your way, your loss... but if you don't come then... " he said and stand up

"Where are you going" I asked confused

"Coming to your bed" he said like a matter of fact

"Umm why?"

"Because if you don't want to stand up... I'll do the sacrifice" he smiled

"You can thank me later love" he added and I rolled my eyes

"So ... Move aside so I can lie down"

"Oh god help me" I whispered and moved a little

"Thanks" he lied down and put an arm around me and he moved me so I was laying in his chest

"That's way better now, isn't  it?" He smirked and I wanted to punch his face but I was indeed comfortable so I just closed my eyes

"Goodnight love"

"Goodnight Nik" I said and moments later I was asleep and so was Niklaus

The rest of the night passed quietly and peacefully

In the morning I didn't woke up as early as yesterday

I opened my eyes and I saw Niklaus was still sleeping from under me

I had my face in his chest and his arm was around me

That gave me the perfect standpoint to study his face

His eyes were closed and you could see his long eyelashes

His mouth was slightly open and he was so calm

"It's really rude to stare my love" He said, scaring me

"Did I scare you darling?" He smirked

"No you did not" I rolled my eyes

"And I was not staring Niklaus" I added

"Now do not lie to yourself... and to me... I hate liars" he opened his one eye for some seconds and then close it

"I am not lying... I said I wasn't staring and that's the truth now shut up"

"Nasty little girl" he chuckled and put his hand more tightly around me

"Close your eyes now" he added quietly

"We have work to do"

"It can wait... I mean we have all day literally...and the next one and the next one. I can go on for ages " he chuckled

"Whatever"

"But seriously shut up now" he said sithout opening his eyes

"Yeah well you can sleep... I'm gonna get up and see the others"

"Mmm" he murmured

I got up and saw Violet was not in her bed neither was Kimberly, Alicia, Ashley  and some other kids too

I looked out of my window and saw them there

The rest of the kids were talking quietly to each over or still sleeping
