Three days have passed after Natalie's first crisis and since then, almost everyday she had to go through another one
Three days since the first crisis, one week since she was bitten and three weeks since the accident...
A lot of time has passed
Almost a month
Almost a month away from our families, our friends, our community
Or any community at all....
We have been in this... place... for three weeks... three whole weeks. Two 'normal' ones and one week full of pain
It hasn't been easy... not for us but definitely not for her...
She is so strong
I do not know where she finds all that strength
She was in so much pain despite everything that I was doing and still do
I've seen my mum cure people that have been poisoned a few times, but then we were in a hospital
And the snake that bit her had a strong one and I don't know for how much longer she is gonna be alive.
To be honest... she has passed the limit of my expectation
It's amazing that she is still here after seven days of that kind of pain
She is a true fighter... a true survivor...
Margie has been with her almost every single second. She is a like a big sister to her, she has always been and the fact that we know she is gonna die kills her...
Only a miracle can save her... but quite impossible... it's a miracle we are even alive until now
The weird thing? She wants to die... she told me that herself... she wants the pain to stop... she wants to protect her family and her friends from up there ...
I can't imagine her pain but I know it's unbearable
"Car" Anton shouted
"What?... Anton... you scared me" I said
"Well sorry but I was calling your name for five minutes now and you weren't listening" he explained
"Really? I'm so sorry... I kind of zoned out"
"Caroline... are you ok? You didn't just zone out... you were in an entire another universe" he asked worried
"Anton really... thank you for caring but I'm fine"
"Are you ok? Car you can always talk to me"
"I'm sure I'm fine and don't worry... if i need something I'll just come to you" I smiled and he nodded
"And I know that things with Nat aren't really good but we know you're doing the best you can"
"Thank you Anton really I'm fine. I'm nust tired I guess"
"Go and get some rest then you were with her the entire day" he chuckled
"Aye captain"
"Oh and before I go... don't mind Alexander really... if he's giving you a hard time try not to misunderstand him... he had a rough childhood"
"Ok thanks for the information, I think but really... I'm dealing with him for the last 5 years that he has been friends with Damon so...." I giggled and he chuckled
"Right... well see you " he said and left the airplane
This past week nobody was in a cheerful mood. Not that they were before, but now it was just worse
We were with Natalie everyday so we didn't have time to continue our research and build something or fix anything
"Caroline" a voice interrupted my thoughts
"Huh?" I asked and turned around to see Stefan
"Yes?" I said
"Car Don't beat yourself" he said
"What do you mean?"
"You are not an easy person to read... but everyone can understand that you beat yourself over Natalie's condition" he explained
"I can't help it Stef...if... if my mother was here she would know how to help her..."
"Car... I know your mother is the best doctor in town but she's not here... please Caroline, for your own good, try not to live in 'ifs' " he said and I nodded
" yeah... I'll try" he smiled
"You could use a break... you look like hell girl" he joked
"How sweet of you Stef" I chuckled
"I know I know"
He left too and I went to my bed and lay down
I was seriously so tired... I wanted to read again but instead I just picked my bag and saw two photos that I always have in there
