Days passed
Natalie was weaker than ever
She was crying all day long
Every single day I gave her Tranquilizer
But the results? All the same
Nothing...
She was becoming weaker and weaker
She had lost faith in herself.
She was coughing hard
One day I swear I saw her spitting blood
She was screaming
But not like before
She was screaming, begging for her death
Wanted this to be over
Ironic... I know
"Hey Car" Damon said quietly to me
We were sitting in the grass outside. It was morning and others were with Natalie
"Yes?" I answered without turning my head to look at him
I'd rather see the trees right above me
"Do you want to go for a walk?" He asked me
"What?" I looked at him confused
"I think we could both use a walk. Especially you, I mean"
"Umm... I am not really sure"
"It's just a walk... come on you need to clear your head"
"Alright... yeah whatever " I gave in
"Yeah"
"But just a walk and not further than the bridge"
"Yeah yeah we'll see come on now" he said and I made mysilf to get up with whatever strength I have left in me
We were walking for three minutes and I was already grateful I listened to Damon
I needed it for sure
All these days in there were hell
I couldn't stand any longer
And being here in the open air really helps
"You were right" I finally said
"I know, I'm always right but can you be more specific" he chuckled
"You had right to insist taking a walk. I needed this"
"Aahh... yeah, you're welcome sis"
"So I have been with Natalie almost every minute so please update me about how things are outside the cockpit" I smiled
"Oh, well both great and not so good"
"And why's that?" I asked
"We are doing perfectly with... you know... all these" he said
"But....?"
"But... we are all afraid about Natalie... I mean, she's dying everyone knows that and we have not been here even a month yet so..." he explained and I nodded
"Right" I whispered and we stopped walking
"So here we are in the bridge. Maybe you wanna go further" he asked and I shook my head
"No let's just stay here for some minutes"
"Ok" he said and sat down
I grabbed a pebble and threw it to a tree on the otherside
"You just gave me an idea" Damon said focused on the tree
"By throwing a pebble?" I asked
"Yep... wait" he said and stood up
He found a large and thin branch and a cord from the bridge and he put them together like a bow
"What the hell?" I asked
He picked up another branch much smaller try it to put it in the cord like an actual arrow
"You have to be kidding me"
"Just try this" he said and gave it to me
"What? Are you serious?" I asked and by the look on his face... he was... oh my god he has lost it
"You were always good in aim and you have something about bows and arrows so come on, try" he said
I put the small branch/arrow in the cord/bow and aim in the tree just across the bridge
"Just so to be clear I think this is the most ridiculous idea you have ever come up with... and that's saying a lot" I said and he chuckled
"Oh just do it" he said and I let the 'arrow'
I don't know how it happened but it worked
The branch/arrow hitted the tree I aimed
"see?" Damon smirked and I rolled my eyes
"When we go back why don't you draw some arrowheads? Huhh?" He said I'm not even sure anymore if he was joking or being serious
"When I go back, which is in some seconds, I'll go see how Natalie is"
"Yeah well just keep it in mind. I mean hunting will be ten times better" he joked
"Yeah I'll think about it now let's go back" I said and he nodded
While we were walking Damon's idea was all over my mind. Perfect
It wasn't a really a bad one. I mean we definitely have to make a good bow and not like the one Damon did of course, but if we can do it then it's not a bad idea at all
When we got back to the aeroplane he went with the other boys and I went to my bed
I grabbed my bag and searched for my textbook. I took it and went inside the cockpit where Ashley and Stacy where
"Hey Car you came right on time. Bye Natalie see you in a bit" they said and exited
Natalie closed her eyes so I thought it would be a good idea not to interrupt her
I sat down on the chair and started drawing some simple arrowheads
