Elsa watched Landon eat his seventh serving of food. She'd only eaten a single pastry and was already good. The kid downed food like a bear that hadn't eaten in days. Of course, which was most likely. He did come from the slums of District 8.
"Children," Flaria entered the car, "we're about five minutes away from the Capitol."
"Don't be so excited." a drunk Ronal came from behind Flaria. He started walking woozily and then he came to rest infront of the window.
Cath arrived too, but she looked like she hadn't drunken anything. Must be morphling. Her eyes were wide open and she kept jumping around.
"I can fly!" she declared, jumping aroung and flapping her arms.
Flaria's fake smile became tighter and eventually became a line on her face.
"We will be at the Capitol in exactly two minutes and your mentors are both drunk and high," she scolded like it was our fault, "how nice."
I stood up, "I'm going to see how long this train is."
Flaria nodded as I walked out of the car.
In about a minute, I ended up at the very end of the train. It wasn't a caboose, half of the car had walls of glass, enabling me to see the outside as we zoomed by. I sat of the cushions and watched the leafy underbrush slowly disappear. Suddenly we entered a tunnel. It was dark, then light hit my eyes as the train slowed down. When it stopped, we were inside a train station. People were gathered outside the train, and they were cheering. Some of them were waving at me and chanting my name, some of them chanting Landon's.
I faked a smile and gave a small wave. It sent them into hysterics and everyone screamed and started chanting my name.
"Elsa! Elsa! Elsa! Elsa!" they chanted. I felt scared. We were going out there?
Flaria entered the car, "c'mon now dear."
She grabbed my arm, "we're leaving this train!"
