I sat up in bed, with both babies laying in my bed in front of me, as I studied the two little perfect creations in front of me. Our baby girl, had a full head of wild brown hair, and small white wings flecked with brown on her back. I studied these two tiny creatures, going through names in my head until one for each finally stuck.
"Hey guys." Ella came in, with Ben right behind her.
"Hey little guy!" I said happily as I reached out for him, hugging him tightly. His little eyes rested on his two siblings and he looked at them in awe, completely enamored by these two creatures." This is your little brother, and your little sister." I said softly.
"They're mine?" He said totally thrilled.
"Yeah, let me introduce you, this is your little brother, Elijah, and this is your little sister, Indie." I smiled as he continued staring at them, completely captivated.
"El-jah, and Indie?" He had a huge grinned spread over his face as he said their names." I like them." He gently patted each babies head." I want to hold them."
"Okay." I smiled.
"Come over here buddy." Dylan patted the couch, Ben quickly sitting next to him.
"Who do you wanna hold first?" I asked.
"El-jah." He pointed, I handed Elijah to Dylan, who instructed Ben, before placing the baby in his arms. As Elijah was fully rested into Ben's arms, he smiled as he looked at Dylan and I, then back at his brother, with tears in his eyes." I love you El-jah." Ben gently placed a kiss on his brother's head." Can I hold Indie now?" He asked quietly.
"Yeah." I cleared my throat blinking back tears. Dylan took Elijah from Ben then handed him to me, I gently placed him on the bed in front of me, then picked up Indie handing her to Dylan. Ben eagerly held his arms out waiting for Indie to be placed in his arms, as she was placed in his arms, he studied her face for a long while.
"She's pretty like you mommy." Ben said sweetly toward me, and the water works started, even though I was smiling." I love you too Indie." Ben also kissed his little sister's forehead.
I could not hold back the joy that was overflowing from me, this moment made my heart explode with love, I was so happy that Ben loved his siblings, and that he accepted them so well. Dylan sat on the bed next to me, wrapping his arm around me, and I fell into his chest, trying to control my happy tears.
"You did good Max." Dylan gave me a squeeze." You have every right to be proud of this moment." He kissed my head sweetly." I love you."
"I love you too."
