"Well it looks like Ben is crawling." I said happily as I saw him make his way over to his toys.

"7 months old and Ben is officially crawling." Dylan said proudly as he recorded Ben crawling.

I was in the kitchen whipping up some mushed carrots for Ben."okay come on big buy let's go eat." Dylan scooped him up and sat him in his high chair. I brought the small bowl of food over to him.

"Okay here you go buddy." I gave the spoon to Dylan who started feeding him." So I was thinking." He cleared his throat.

"What?" I sat down sipping on my smoothie.

"About that kiss?" He looked down at Ben's food.

"Oh," I sat silently for a second," what about it?" I said not looking at him.

"I was just wondering what it meant, are we... Together now?" He asked.

"Umm, I don't know? I thought it was just a kiss." I said simply. I could tell that hurt him.

"Well, I didn't think so, we live together, we've been raising Ben together, I mean doesn't that mean something?" He explained, pleading in his voice.

"I don't know?" I said again.

"What do you mean you don't know?" He said upset.

"I just don't know... If I'm ready for this, to happen." I said sadly.

Dylan gave Ben another spoonful of carrots." Da-da." Ben said looking at Dylan with a smile on his face. Both of us looked at each other in shock." Da-da!" Ben happily repeated himself. I just looked out the window sipping on my smoothie. Dylan kept glancing at me every time Ben continued yelling "da-da!" At him.

After giving Ben his last bottle for the night I laid him in his crib. I tucked him in, kissed his forehead, and told him good night. He smiled at me.

"Ma-ma!" He said for the millionth time today. I smiled at him, kissed his forehead, and said good night again. I left shutting off the light, turning on his star lights, and shut the door.

I went to the living room where Dylan sat watching a movie. I sat down on the couch and picked up the book I was reading." So we need to talk about this." Dylan said breaking the silence.

"Why?" I said a little irritated.

"Because, if you are just gonna ignore what happened to us then, maybe I shouldn't be here anymore." He stated.

"You can't do that to Ben." I pleaded.

"I would still come visit, but I don't think we need to be living together anymore, this is getting too hard for me." He stood up heading for the door.

"Please don't," I chased after him and grabbed his arm," I need you!" Did those words just come out of my mouth.

"What did you say?" He stopped in his tracks and turned to look at me.

"I need you, Ben needs you. You can't leave." I begged.

"Oh, I see, I'm just help." He pulled his arm away from my grasp.

"No, I need you. I don't think I could live without you. Having you here, makes me look forward to waking up in the morning. I would feel lost without you here." A tear fell from my eye, and his. He rushed to me and pressed his lips to mine.

"I'll stay." He wiped his eyes on his sleeve." I'll stay."
