~THE TIME WILL GO BY FAST, JUST SO YOU KNOW, EVERYTHING ISN'T HAPPENING ALL AT ONCE~ :)

"Oh my gosh he rolled over!" I hollered from the living room, "Dylan!" Dylan came running down the hallway into the living room.

"He rolled over?" He panted.

"Yes, yes, he rolled over from his back to his belly!" I said excitedly." Do it again." I knelt down in front of him. Ben just smiled and laughed at me.

"Man I missed it." He said bummed, sitting on the couch. Ben then rolled on to his back." Oh my gosh!" We were both buzzing with excitement.

"He did it!" My eyes started tearing up.

"Whoa, whoa, what's wrong?" Dylan knelt beside me.

"Nothing," I sniffed," I'm just so happy." I laughed. Dylan hugged me tightly.

"Me too." He sighed.

"He's just getting so big, so fast. He's four months old already!" I wiped my eyes.

"So when do you wanna take him for his first flight?" Dylan asked shaking Ben's rattle above him.

"I don't know, when's the right time to take him?" I rubbed my shoulder.

"I don't know, anytime I guess." Dylan handed Ben his toy.

Just then Nudge and Gasman landed on the front porch, and walked in.

"Hey we were just gonna go for a fly, we were wondering if you wanted to come?" Nudge smiled.

"I don't know?" I looked at Dylan and Ben.

"Angel said she would stay with Ben." Nudge added.

"Well we were thinking about taking Ben on his first flight." Dylan said smiling.

"You were?" Gasman hugely smiled at us," so are you?"

"I don't know we are still thinking about it." I tucked my hair behind my ear and looked at Ben who was laying on his belly, slowly opening his tiny black, and brown flecked wings.

"It wouldn't hurt to take him out, even for a little bit." Dylan shrugged his shoulders.

"Okay." I smiled and jumped up grabbing my wrap carrier and putting it on. Dylan helped me tuck Ben into it snugly.

I stepped toward the door, everyone flew off ahead of me. I wrapped my arms around Ben as I unfurled my wings, which felt great. I started pumping my wings and raised into the air. Ben looked up at me with complete amazement on his face.

I only went about 20 feet above the house and flew left to right just to get Ben comfortable with it. At this point he was smiling and looking side to side. I decided to fly around now, just slow, not as fast as I used to. Ben looked up at me smiling a huge gummy smile.

He loved this, I couldn't believe how much he enjoyed this. It excited me for when he was finally flying on his own. Probably what was hours later I landed on the front porch, Ben sleeping snugly in the wrap against my chest.

Dylan landed next to me his hair a mess," that was fun." He smiled pushing his hair back." Did Ben have fun?" He leaned over me to look at sleeping Ben. He lightly brushed his finger across Ben's cheek, Ben smiled in his sleep.

"He loved it, this means I can get out and do more now." I smiled up at Dylan," I'm gonna go lay him down." I went inside and into Ben's room.

I closed the dark curtains, and started peeling of the layers of the wrap, and gently laid Ben into his soft bed. I turned on the star lights, and closed the door without latching it. I went to the kitchen and made a peanut butter and chocolate chip sandwich, grabbed a glass of milk and headed to the living room, where Dylan was sitting on the couch looking through his camera with a smile on his face.

"What're you doing?" I said taking a bite of my sandwich, and sat next to him.

"Looking at some pictures and little videos I got of Ben today." He was smiling hugely.

"Oh yeah let me see." I sat closer to him and watched him go through the pictures and videos of Ben.

One of my favorites was Ben as a new born smiling hugely in his sleep. A few of my other favorites was me holding Ben, both of us asleep in the rocking chair. Another was Ben laying on his belly with his wings unfurled.

My favorite video was Ben laughing at Iggy, who was just poking at Ben's cheeks. Another was my mom holding Ben, she was looking out the window swaying and singing to Ben.

By this time Dylan had handed me the camera and allowed me to look through it. After what felt like a thousand pictures later I came across a picture of Fang holding Ben...

It was shortly after Ben had been born, and Fang was laying in his hospital bed holding a freshly swaddled Ben, who was holding Fang's finger. Fang was smiling at him. I shoved the camera back into Dylan's hands and ran off the front porch. I opened my wings and took off.

I don't know why, I just couldn't handle seeing Fang anymore. It was hard enough looking at Ben, who looked so much like Fang. I mean it's been four months, by this time I had already put all of Fang's clothes back in his dresser so I didn't have to look at them. Put all of his belongings in a tote that I had stuffed in the closet.

I just barely put his things away, all the things he had left out, and hung over the dresser drawers I had left there. Everything had been sitting for so long that it was collecting dust. He left a book open turned over marking a spot, but I never flipped it over to look and see what he was saving to read later.

That was the only thing I left out, and didn't touch.. I was finally excepting his death, excepting the fact the he was gone, and he popped up again. The pictures in Ben's room with Fang in them had already been replaced with new pictures. They were put into photo albums that I was allowed to look at when I was ready.

I don't think I would ever be ready..
