(On the Resistance base)

Deep inside the infirmary a Kel Dor sat at his desk. He grasped a PADD in his fingers as he gazed down at the imagine in front of him. A torn ligament showed combined with a fractured wrist. It would've been simple for the experienced healer to deal with, but not when the creature was a Gotal. Any surgery would be risky with them since their horns senses electromagnetic pulses. If anything went wrong then it would be on him and he couldn't have that.

    "Dr. Yan?"

The Kel Dor lifted his head from the PADD and spun around in his chair. He looked backwards and immediately bowed his head ever so slightly as he saw the General of the Resistance come into the infirmary. Sure, he knew exactly who she was, but she rarely ever spoke to him. He did his thing and she did hers. But, they had become closer in the last few rotations now that the fight had gotten much closer.

"General Organa! What do I owe the pleasure of you visiting my infirmary," he asked, the mouthpiece that he was faced to wear over his face to help the flow of oxygen distorting his words just a bit.

Leia's eyes glittered with amusement. "So it's your infirmary now?"

"Not exactly, but I spend more time here than I do anywhere else. Besides, in here I'm the general. It's quite nice," explained the Kel Dor as he rubbed a bit at his eyes. He had been working for over twenty hours straight and if it was up to him then he would've been asleep already. At least, a nap would be good right about now. "Now, I don't mean to be rude, but do you need something?"

"Yes, actually. I need you to ready as many of the Cobalt Squadron," she told him.

His eyes widened. "I don't know if that's possible. Most of them were severely injured in the battle with the Imperial Cruiser. I don't want to push them before they are ready."

"I understand that, but can you do your best," Leia pressed. "Please, Tas."

Tas was about to say something when one of the pilots from Cobalt Squadron darted forward. His feet thundered against the ground before he skidded to a halt in front of Leia, completely ignoring Tas.

    "General!"

"Yes, Thorn, what is it," she asked urgently.

"Poe was captured, but I hear something happened with a TIE on Jakku. It crashed or something. Do you think it had something to do with Poe," Thorn rambled, out of breath from his run.

Leia didn't even take any time to think about it. "I would be highly surprised if it didn't have something to do with Poe. Show me the plot of the TIE," she ordered.

Thorn darted out of the infirmary with Leia right behind. For some reason, Tas felt the need to follow and be there. He left the PADD in front of him and followed both Leia and Thorn. He made his way into the briefing room, not caring the strange looks that he got from everyone around him. He was a healer and healers weren't usually allowed in during these briefings unless it was something very important, but Tas had been there long enough to bend the rules.

He emerged in and heard whispering before Thorn showed them the exact flight path that the TIE had taken and it led right back to Jakku.

There was a pit in Tas's stomach as he looked at all of this. It didn't make much sense to him, but the dangers of crashing were known to Tas. If everyone else's hunch was right, Poe would need medical help.

"Thorn, take your squadron as well as anyone else can find with Dawn Squadron, now," ordered Leia in alarm.

Thorn saluted before he was off. He started forward with his feet barely touching the ground as he made his way to the space almost across from his. That left Leia and Tas just standing there. Tas wasn't sure what to say, but there was something about this that just felt wrong and he wasn't sure. He didn't want to worry the General, but he couldn't help but express his thoughts.

    "General-" began Tas.

"I know, Dr. Yan," murmured Leia as she turned to meet the Kel Dor's eyes. "I feel it too. Something just isn't right about Luke and this whole map thing."

She turned and left, but Tas decided to follow. She hadn't really been the same after her son had turned to the Dark Side and her husband had left. Tas hadn't known Han Solo very well, but the time that he did spend with him he had learned how much of a jerk he was. However, he had loved Leia in his son more than he could've expressed and that Tas commended him for. He was so shocked when Han up and left that he had tried to be there for Leia as much as possible. They would only be friends for more than one reason, but he had tried his best to be her pillar after Han left.

"General, pardon me for saying this, but did you ever think that maybe Luke doesn't want to be rescued," inquired Tas, slowly steering them toward the infirmary so that he could finish his work.

Leia looked as though Tas was suggesting the impossible. "How could you say that?! Luke is my brother and I know-"

"If you know him so well then why do you think he hasn't responded to any messages. I don't think that he's in trouble. I just think that he doesn't want to be found," Tas interrupted. He knew that he was going out on a major limb since Leia was his General, but he hoped that they were close enough friends for him to assert his opinion. They had bigger problems, in his opinion, then finding the map to Luke Skywalker. Maybe they were doing it so that the First Order didn't get ahold of one of the last Jedi, but that wasn't Leia's main reason.

"I think that you better think long and hard about your next words, Dr. Yan," Leia commanded. "You wouldn't want to find yourself branded as a traitor."

He dipped his head. "I meant no disrespect. All I meant was that this may be harder than we imagined if Luke doesn't want to be found. He knows how to cover his tracks." He stopped at the entrance to the infirmary with a defiant twinkle in his eyes behind his goggles. "But, I would also think long and hard about who your offend. There may be plenty healers in this galaxy, but not a lot are willing to live here and work for the Resistance."

Leia pursed her lips but said nothing more. Tas turned and left her standing at the entrance to the infirmary, not sure if she planned to keep standing there or if she actually had a purpose to what she was doing. Luckily, Tas didn't have to stick around to find out. He had plenty more work to do before he was allowed a few hours of much deserves rest. He had patients to check up on and then he head to eat at some point in the day. This chaotic schedule was slowly killing him.

He sat at his desk and pushed his PADD aside. He lifted his long fingered hands and pressed them against his forehead where a headache was starting to form. He didn't need this. He didn't deserve this.

But, he was doing this all for the Resistance. There was nothing better than doing something that he knew was worthwhile. Sure, this wasn't where he thought that he would be. He had had bigger plans for himself then being a healer. He did enjoy what he did, but he couldn't help thinking that the force had put a damper on his plans when he thought he could still had done it. But, that was a debate for his inner self at night, not before he was actually trying to do some good.

    It was time to focus.
