I got out of the shower, annoyed that a group of females waiting for me. "I do not know why you all are here. All I am going to do is put on a dress and maybe braid my hair."
My aunt, Gigi, shook her head and handed me a robe to cover myself. "Oh no," she said. "You are getting the full treatment. Who knows, you might meet your mate." She wiggled her eyebrows, causing me to blush.
"But, I might not meet him," I said, putting on the robe. "Yes, I know that Uncle Maverick said it would be all right to have the ball here and tonight, but that doesn't mean anything."
"I am sure that you are going to meet him." She sat me down in a seat and started to blow dry my brown curls. "I mean, a certain prince is coming."
"Ooh, a prince?" my cousin, Beatrice, said. "Did you catch a prince's eye?"
"No, a prince caught her eye," my other cousin, Gabrielle, said. "Have you not been paying attention to the googley eyes?" Unlike Bea, Gabrielle, wasn't my actual cousin. However, because of certain events that played out in my mother's life, she considered Gabby's father as her brother.
"You guysss stop," I groaned, trying to cover my face but was stopped by my sixteen year old sister, Kristy.
"No, don't do that. I was about to work," she said. Unlike me, Kristy was a fashion and makeup guru. Her brown eyes stared in my gray eyes, and I could see a playful smirk on her face. "Mom said I could do whatever I want and you can't stop me." She winked when I gleared. "Don't worry, we'll be getting revenge on her."
"She thinks that having the dress on can stop us," my aunt, Mitchie, said. She shook her head and clicked her tongue. "It's not going to."
"Good." I huffed. "Let's get this torture over."
"It's not torture!" the other female's exclaimed.
"Is too," I grumbled.

"My, look at my gorgeous sister," my older brother said from where he was sitting on my bed. His red tie was hanging around his neck, and I could tell that he was pissed at it. He hated the tie, but he went with what Mom said and wore it.
"Hi, Jojo," I said, causing the male to scowl. I smiled innocently because I knew that he hated the nickname. "Did you want me to fix that for you?"
Jonah grumbled and nodded his head. "I don't know why Mom wants me to wear this suit." He stood and walked over to me.
I started to fix the tie for him, not caring that he couldn't do it. I mean, I learned how to do it because my twin had to wear ties, too. "Well, she wants you to look nice for your mate if you accept him." I smirked when I saw him stiffen. "Mom, Dad, Keagen, and I know that you are gay."
"Is there anything else that you know?" he asked, nervously. He shifted on his feet, causing me to growl a warning. Worry filled his dark brown eyes, and I could tell that he was afraid.
"That Cason is your mate," I replied. "He talked to me about you." I fixed his collar and straightened out his jacket.
"Is there anything else?"
"That you don't want to be the Alpha of a pack but a doctor? Mom knows about that too."
"Bu-"
"You haven't exactly told her that you don't want to be Alpha," I said, interrupting him. I stood back and raised an eyebrow. "Why do you think both Keagen and I are in the Alpha classes with you?"
"Because... you two wanted to keep me company?"
I shook my head no. "Because, it is more than likely that I will either be mated to a Beta or an Alpha and Mom wanted me to know this stuff. And, Keagen would be Alpha because Mom knew that you didn't want to be it."
"So, she doesn't care?"
I gave him an annoyed look causing him to shift on his feet. "She doesn't care that you don't want to be Alpha. She doesn't care that your mate is a male and is a Demon Prince. All she wants is for you to be happy."
"But everyone-"
"Fuck what they think," I said, flinging my hands into the air. "Fuck them if they don't like it. All that matters is your happiness not theirs. Do what makes you happy."
"Is... Dad fine with this?" he asked, shifting on his feet.
"Dad is the one that stopped Mom and I from putting both of you in a closet," I grumbled, pouting. "He is fine with it. He just wanted you to tell us on your own."
Jonah sighed and moved a hand through his hair. "So... I was afraid for no reason?"
I nodded my head in confirmation. "You were afraid for no reason." A smile appeared on my lips and held my arm out to him. "Now, are you going to lead me to my twin? Or, do I have to walk there by myself?"
Jonah gave me a small smile and took my arm. "I'm going to accept him," he said. "I hope that he still takes me." Worry flickered through his eyes.
I smiled and patted his arm. "I am sure that he will," I said. "He loves you a lot."
Jonah sighed and nodded his head. "I hate insecurities."
I made sure that my smile didn't flatter. I knew what he felt, but I was good at keeping it a secret. My mind was my enemy, and I hated it. The only person that knew my self doubts was Willa, and she promised me that she would keep it to the grave.
"You will be fine," I promised. "He loves you a lot." I just hope that my mate loves me and will accept my insecurities...
