"Well, look who finally showed up," my twin brother, Keagen, said. He smiled at me, his blonde hair in his gray eyes. "What took you so long?"

"Had to talk a male into accepting his mate," I said.

Keagen smirked at Jonah. "So, are you coming out of the closet?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Jonah huffed and nodded his head. "I think I will let Cason know tonight and then Mom and Dad tomorrow. Tonight is all about you two. You only turn eighteen once." He smirked and tried to run a hand through my hair.

"The aunts and cousins will kill you if you do that," I warned, ducking under his hand. "And, I don't want you dead until you two had sex."

"I don't want to hear about sex talk," Keagen groaned. "Come on, let's get going. Almost everyone is here, so we should get down."

"Who is not here?" I asked.

"Grandpa Vulcan, Meridia, and Andrei aren't there," Keagen said. He wiggled his eyebrows when he said Andrei's name, because he knew that I had a crush on him.

My cheeks turned red, and I couldn't help but shift on my feet. "Shut up," I mumbled, looking away from him. My heart pounded in my chest with glee, because I wanted to see him again. I had tried to become his friend, but he considered me as a nunsense and only hung out with me because our parents said for us to.

Keagen's eyes went hazy before they appeared back to normal, and I knew that someone had mindlinked him. "Mom says that we can come down," he said. "Jonah, she wants you down first before we go down." He took Jonah's position and held my arm. "Are you ready twin?" he asked after Jonah headed down the steps.

I took a deep breath and nodded my head. Dread filled my body, but I didn't know why. I didn't know what was going to happen, and I hoped that what I am feeling wouldn't happen. "Ready," I said.

Let's just hope that I didn't make a big mistake...

"And, here are the birthday twins," my mom called out, causing everyone that came turn towards us and clap. "Kyler Rose and Keagen Ridge are now of age to start finding their mates, and I think Keagen all ready found his." She smirked when Keagen let go of my arm and started to walk towards Willa.

"Mate," he growled, pulling the 5'3 female close to him. "Hi." He smiled down at her, and I could tell that he was happy that his crush was his mate.

"Down, Wolfers," Willa said, pushing him away and caused the twin to pout. Happiness shone in her eyes, and I was sure that she was finally able to claim his as her own. She walked over to me and tried to give me a hug. "Would you come down here?" she grumbled. "I don't want to use magic here. Mom said for me not to."

I rolled my eyes and bent down to give her a hug. I stood at 5'8 like my mother, and because I was wearing heels, I was over 6'0 and was the same height as my twin. "I told you he had a crush on you," I whispered into her ear.

Willa just rolled her eyes when she pulled back. Her face was a bit red, matching her ginger hair. "Shut up," she grumbled, hitting my arm. "What about you?" she wiggled her eyebrows, causing me to blush.

"Shut up," I grumbled and cleared my throat. "Go with your mate. He is glaring at me." I gave my twin a cheeky grin before shoving the female gently towards him. I watched as they both walked away, causing me to shake my head and chuckle.

"And then there were two," Jonah said, popping by my side again. His eyes wandered through the crowds, and I knew that he was looking for Cason.

"Back corner," I said, nodding in that direction. I had spotted him on my way down, and I knew that he was wondering if I had talked to my older brother. I shoved him in that direction, causing him to stumble in some people.

"Sorry," he grumbled before walking that way. He turned into my direction and sent me a glare, causing me to just smile innocently and wave. Jonah shook his head and walked towards his mate, and I couldn't help but feel slightly jealous.

"And then there was one." I turned around and ran into a walk, grunting at the impact.

The wall wrapped it's arms around me, and I could feel sparks going up my bare back. The wall's scent was enticing, and I could get drunk on it.

But... I then realized that walls didn't have arms, didn't create sparks, nor did they smell so good.

I took a deep breath and looked up to see two stormy blue eyes staring into my gray ones. His black hair was slicked back, much to my distaste, but I didn't fix it. His stare was holding me, and I could tell that he was fighting himself. Why? I didn't know.

"Mate," we said together.

That one look at him, and I figured out why I was feeling dread. This man, this man that had been my crush since the beginning of time, didn't want me. And, I had no idea why.
