Tasha didn't say anything, nor give me a pitying glance. She cleared her throat and looked away, and I could tell that she was getting uncomfortable with the silence. "Can we go?" she asked, causing me to nod my head.

"Ya, we waited long enough." I grabbed hold of my stuff and started walking in the direction we needed to go. "I hope you don't think that it'll happen to you," I said, catching the faraway glance in her eyes.

"But... what if it does?" she asked. "I mean... I thought you two would be together."

"Technically, I didn't accept his rejection, so we are "technically" still together," I replied.

"Why didn't you?"

I shrugged my shoulder and grimaced. "I don't know... I just feel as if there is a reason as to why he did what he did. It's not like Mom and Dad, but... it sort of is."

"You don't make any sense," Tasha said, causing me to shrug my shoulder again. She looked around and moved closer to me. "Is it a reason as to why you keep your powers underwraps?" she asked, her voice soft. "I mean Keagen..."

I nodded my head. "I can do both," I replied just as soft. "Andrei... is different. Sort of. Mom and Grandpa Vulcan are sort of glad that he did reject me."

"Please, tell me that you at least kicked his ass."

I shrugged my shoulder, a small smile appearing on my face. "I dropped kicked his ass to the floor. He said that I couldn't fight."

Tasha snorted and rolled her eyes. "Ya, and that is like saying Mom does not have fire powers. You know how to fight, and you can beat Keagen in a fight."

"Most of the time it is because I just outwitted him," I said, causing her to nod in agreement. "We are equals in fighting, even though he has a bit more muscle than me."

"But, you got the speed and the brains," Tasha said. "Why aren't you going to be the Alpha?"

"He's the oldest," I replied. "And unlike Andrei, Wilia isn't going to have a high powered rank."

Tasha nodded her head, her eyes catching this faraway glance. "You are going to be a good queen," she said, randomly.

I shrugged my shoulder but didn't reply. I didn't know if I was going to be a good queen or not. All I knew was that I was going to try my best...

Tasha took a deep breath and stared in front of us in shock. Her eyes were wide with fear, and I could her heart beating faster.

"Tasha?" I asked, turning to look at my younger sister. "Tasha!" I exclaimed and ran after her when she took off.

Tasha ran into a bathroom and sat on the floor. Her head was on her knees, and I could tell that she was crying. "I can't go out there," she whispered, her voice shaking.

"Why not?" I asked, locking the bathroom door before walking over to her. "What happened?"

"The male in the middle, I think that he is my mate."

I furrowed my brows in confusion. "But... you aren't eighteen yet, though," I said. "You just turned seventeen a week ago."

"I don't know, but I-I know that he is my m-m-mate. What if h-h-he..? I-I'm not good e-enough t-to be L-Luna." She cleared her throat and wiped her eyes.

"Don't make me smack you," I warned, narrowing my eyes at her. "You will make a great Luna. And for being rejected, I don't think it will happen to you."

"But, I didn't think it would happen to you, but it did," she said. She took a deep, shuddering breath and wiped her eyes.

I shrugged my shoulder. "Eh, I am hoping it is because of..." I shrugged my shoulder, again. "But, that doesn't matter. It happened in the past, and it'll stay in the past. What you need to worry about now is the fact that you have your mate. You need to try to trust him even though it will be hard for you to do."

Tasha hesitated but nodded her head. She took a deep breath and stood. Determination filled her eyes, and I could tell that she had given herself a pep talk. "Ok," she said. Her voice was shaking a bit, but it was because she had been crying. "I think I am ready."

"If he does, then I can kick his ass," I said, causing her to chuckle. I stood beside her and gave her a small smile. I knew that I was going to have to ask Mom as to why she found her mate early, but I could do that later. "But, like I said, I don't think he will."

"I hope not," she said, softly. She wiped her eyes with her sleeve and took a deep, shuddering breath. "I don't want him to get hurt."
